NWACC's Melba Shewmaker National Child Protection Training Center offers a unique opportunity for Child Advocacy Studies students to develop their investigative skills in a fully functioning mock home. The training center has been serving NWACC and the community for ten years and approximately 10,000 people have benefited from its training opportunities. The center needs a new refrigerator and an audio and video recording system, software license, and two tablets for remote feedback and recordings between classrooms and the mock home or vehicles used for simulations and training.

The Dale Montgomery Counseling & Wellness Center needs gift cards for gas, food, and toiletries for students receiving mental health services and need financial support. We also seek funds to purchase hotel vouchers for clients leaving abusive relationships and have nowhere safe to go, as homeless shelters are often full. It is important to remove financial barriers to necessities so that clients can focus on their mental health.

Support for the Food Pantry allows us to provide food for students and staff facing food insecurity and offer essential hygiene products. We aim to place these resources in every NWACC building, making it easier for students and staff to access what they need, wherever they are on campus. Every contribution helps us create an accessible resource where everyone’s basic needs are met.

The Theatre Program seeks support for the Spring 2025 musical and Fall 2025 non-musical production. Funds will be used for licensing and score/libretto rental, acting edition script purchases, construction materials, and costume rental/wardrobe maintenance. Costs vary for each performance and donations will remove the biggest hurdles we face in funding our productions and providing students with opportunities to learn about all facets of theatre.

Donations to the Veteran Student Success Center directly benefit our veteran students by providing food for the veteran's lounge food pantry, snacks for veteran students and their families, gas cards for veteran students in need, and supplies for the quarterly veteran BBQ fundraiser to provide scholarships for veteran students.
