I painted my first waterways painting -- of the crick behind our house -- as a youngster, with a box of Prang watercolors and a floppy camel's hair brush. Since then, life seemed to intervene for the most part, but in recent years it has been a wonderful challenge and privilege to try and grow as a plein air artist. At times, I try to work with acrylics or oils, but find watercolors easier to deal with in the limited time frame of plein air work.
