Legacy Park will be the center of campus as well as the most well-known landmark at SWAU. The updated design will enhance the campus experience and aid in providing a pleasant transition from the south side of campus to the rest of the campus. The spaces will feature new seating opportunities, high-quality site furnishings, upgraded pathways and light fixtures, and a well-designed landscape treatment. With seating and an accessible pathway, this center lawn will help create the characteristic spatial branding that will define SWAU’s campus. Legacy Park will also be a place for special events, open classroom activities, and exhibitions, enhancing SWAU’s responsibility to be good stewards of this valuable space and the sense of community it will build.
