JQ is excited to offer a free, four-part parent psychoeducation workshop focused on supporting caregivers and LGBTQ+ youth and young adult mental health and wellness. We are currently experiencing a youth mental health crisis that disproportionately impacts the LGBTQ+ community, and JQ is committed to supporting queer youth and young adults and their families. All caregivers, parents, grandparents, etc. are welcome and encouraged to join!
- January 23, 2023 Workshop 1: LGBTQ+ Youth Experience & Mental Health
- February 27, 2023 Workshop 2: Respecting Your Child’s Process & Being an Advocate featuring Jordan Held, LCSW
- April 17, 2023 Workshop 3: Caring for Yourself featuring Rabbi Kerry Chaplin
- May 15, 2023 Workshop 4: Gratitude & Caregiver Peer Support featuring The Blue Dove Foundation
- 6:00pm-7:00pm PT on Zoom
JQ’s online training is a casual and inviting opportunity to engage with experienced professionals and connect with other parents and caregivers. We will meet you where you are, and provide time to answer your questions for an accessible learning experience.
It is highly recommended to attend all four sessions to get the most out of this workshop series, however it is not required. Reach out to Emily Abraham, LCSW with any questions.
