UMKC is proud to partner with United Way to support our community. We believe giving back through charitable donations and volunteering is imperative which is why we partner with United Way. United Way serves 1 in 3 Kansas Citians every year, provides a 24/7 helpline that connects people to services and resources they need (from mental health resources to food assistance and more), funds more than 700 nonprofits in our area thanks to supporters like all of us, plus so much more. Through our United Way campaign, you can invest in whichever nonprofit you’d like and support the great work United Way does. Leaders United-$1,200 and above annual contribution. Leaders United is a passionate and active donor network for career-diverse individuals from entry-level to top executives and retirees. The group’s philanthropic focus is on poverty, hunger and homelessness. 

Women United-$2,400 and above annual contribution. Women United is a network of dynamic and influential women Waymakers who are committed to advancing early childhood development in Kansas City through leadership, philanthropy, collaboration, volunteerism and advocacy. 

Tocqueville Society-$10,000 and above annual contribution. Tocqueville Society is a generous group of trailblazing Waymakers that make broad, sustainable change for our community through volunteerism, advocacy, planned giving and endowment programs. 

Step Up-There are two ways to join – make an annual contribution at the minimum gift level or receive full membership benefits with a 3-year commitment to our Step Up program.

United Way Impact 100-United Way directly invests in 100 local organizations, through our Impact 100, a group of 100 community partners that we believe are addressing the most vital health and human service needs in our region.
