Inspiration

This view is looking toward the South Haven Municipal Marina on the Black River. Vintage boats were sailing by, from the Michigan Maritime Museum/Marina just north of this location. Visitors strolled by and glanced over my shoulder on their way to South Beach and the lighthouse, and often stopped by again on their way back to shops and restaurants just a block away.

Coastal Michigan offers endless inspiration for much of my work, painting in Watercolor or Water Mixable Oil.  I participate in Plein Air events and workshops throughout year, while freelancing in Design and Photography. I also love hiking, bicycling, tennis, kayaking, gardening, and above all, being with family, friends and two very cool beagles.
