12th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep

Come clean your River! We welcome you to take part in the 12th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, our annual day of service for the Hudson River and its tributaries.

Join Green Ossining, the Town of Ossining, and Riverkeeper for a stream side cleanup, invasive species removal project, and maintenance of planted areas at Ryder Park for the 12th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep.

Volunteers will meet at the pond in Ryder Park (North side behind the baseball fields). Volunteers should drive into the Park entrance, make your first right and follow the ball fields around to the parking area.

We ask all Sweep volunteers to also bring a hat, sunscreen, a full reusable water bottle, and a face mask, work gloves and hand sanitizer. Also bring loppers, hand pruners, and garden trowels/spades. Please note this is taking place during tick season, so insect repellent is strongly suggested.

This site is not suitable for elementary-aged children.

*IMPORTANT! To ensure the safety of volunteers, Sweep Site Leaders, park staff, and our communities, we ask that volunteers adhere to the following guidelines:

Volunteers are required to pre-register for Sweep, and bring their own masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and water.
Volunteers should not participate if they have ANY signs of illness or if they have potentially been exposed to COVID-19 within the previous two weeks.
