FRIENDS memberships provide the core funding for FBHI programs and services. Joining gives you the satisfaction of supporting a grassroots organization and receiving membership benefits including the FBHI quarterly E-Tidings newsletter, discounts on FBHI boat trips and books, and discounts with our partners: The Park Lighthouse Tours, Classic Harbor Line, Boston Harbor City Cruises, Boat US, and Massachusetts Bay Lines.

As of 2023, Boston Harbor Now is the acting fiscal agent of The Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands. The Friends continue to provide independent year-long programming, membership services, and opportunities across the Boston Harbor Islands.

Donor hereby approves the payment of the charitable donation and/or purchase to Boston Harbor Now and in the amount set forth herein.

The Friends’ logo design depicts Nixes Mate. Once an eleven-acre island, Nixes Mate eroded over the years, and this marker is all that remains today. The Harbor Islands need Friends to help with preservation, education, and recreation so that these activities do not become part of a vanishing heritage, like Nixes Mate, Wood Island, Apple Island, Governor’s Island, and Bird Island.
