Inspiration

“Summer Lake” was painted on a gorgeous sunny day where I went out to the end of a dock to get the best view. I strapped my umbrella to the rail to get some shade and got my sea legs when the dock was rocking from boats speeding by.

An oil painter since she was 16, Andrea earned an Associates Degree in Commercial Art, studied at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, earned a BFA in painting and a BFA in drawing from Eastern Michigan University, and learned Plein air painting at the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto while living in California.
