Youth Champions serves approximately 250 high school students each year through a comprehensive curriculum that enhances their personal skills, helps them gain real-world experience, explore potential career paths and enables them to be competitive in the 21st century marketplace.

Our students participate in a series of 24 virtual workshops with crucial topics such as problem-solving, leadership skills, financial literacy, good habits, personal responsibility, and independent thinking. In addition, students attend six exploratory field trips designed to expand their horizons and begin to identify their strengths and interests.

Program Approach:

• Built on a stipend-based model, the program empowers high school students in grades 10-12 to build on important life skills such as leadership, communication, financial literacy and grit through weekly workshops, reading activities and bi-monthly go & see educational experiences. Through hard work and perseverance, students can earn up to a $1,000 stipend based on their participation. Nearly $200,000 in stipends were earned by students in the 2022-2023 school year with 91% of graduates going on to pursue higher education.
