So many of our students and their families have experienced hardships the last couple of years. How can you help? The University has several existing funds that were set up by generous alumni like you to help students who are having an emergency.
All funds go directly to support student needs such as food, rent, books, and to help with other unexpected emergencies that threaten their academic success.
MTSU Scholarship - Scholarship made available to the most financially needy students.
Student Emergency Fund - For students who encounter a sudden financial emergency, they are grants, not loans, designed to keep students enrolled and progressing towards graduation.
Student Mental Health Support - helps current MTSU students with suicide prevention efforts, anxiety, depression, substance use.
Safety Net Fund - Emergency funding for our students who have unstable housing or are homeless.
Student Health Services - Helping students with medical care and pharmacy needs. Funds support health and wellness for all students.
Student Food Pantry - Donated items or money assists an increasing number of hungry college students who have food insecurity or need personal care products.
Veterans Center General’s Assistance Fund - 20% of MTSU’s student veterans attend classes without G.I. Bill benefits (benefits have expired or are exhausted) this fills the gaps and help veterans in need of financial assistance.
College Emergency Funds - funding for students in a particular college or unit who are in need of emergency support.
