Observant Community Happy Hour
Thursday, November 7th | 7 pm - 9 pm

Join JQ’s Observant Community on Thursday, November 9th as we gather for a queer Happy Hour in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood. Expect to mingle and chat over light bites, and connect with our observant and formerly observant LGBTQ+ Jewish community.  As the evening unfolds, we’ll transition into a calming Stress Management Workshop designed to ease our minds and our souls.

Whether you’re looking to connect with fellow observant and formally observant Jews, learn new tools for self-care, or simply unwind, this event offers a space to embrace joy and resilience. 

JQ’s Observant Community events are geared towards those who identify as currently observant or formerly observant. This includes all who are interested in a traditional Shabbat experience in queer-affirming spaces. However ALL individuals regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or expression are welcome to attend! For community safety, please do not share the location with anyone else unless they have registered for the event.

Accessibility Guide
This event will take place at an apartment. No microphones or amplified sound will be used for speakers. Name tags will be offered and guests will be encouraged to participate in optional ice breaker games to interact with others. Street parking and metered parking is available. This event is free with suggested donation of $18, however a gift of any size to support JQ today is appreciated. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
