This year, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science has the opportunity to take a giant leap forward with a brand new space science experience. Our vision is of a Space Odyssey gallery as captivating as space itself, seamlessly integrating science, nature, art, and technology to foster a deeper and enduring understanding of our home planet and the universe. The new Space Odyssey will be a quest for knowledge and a platform for visitors to create their own connections to the aspects of space they find most personal and compelling.
As with any major project at the Museum, we rely on community support and investment to make big projects a reality. For Space Odyssey, the Museum is embarking on its first-ever crowdfunding campaign. This new campaign will allow Museum advocates to support the project in a whole new way! Never fundraised before? Don't worry! We're committed to supporting your fundraising efforts with trainings, regular project updates, and other resources to help you reach your goal!
Will you accept this invitation to join other passionate Museum advocates in our community who are fundraising for the new Space Odyssey?
1) Sign-up to become a volunteer fundraiser for the Space Odyssey campaign.
2) Customize your fundraising page. Every volunteer fundraiser will have their own unique fundraising page. Once you sign up, you'll have the option to customize your page, including uploading a profile picture, setting a fundraising goal, and telling the story of why you love space and are supporting the new Space Odyssey. (Tip: Crowdfunding pages are more successful when you include a personal story and upload a profile picture).
3) Review the volunteer fundraising tool-kit and online crowdfunding tutorial. The Museum's Development team is here to help throughout your crowdfunding campaign. This team has created a crowdfunding tool-kit and other online resources to help you customize your fundraising page, share your page, ask for donations, and ultimately reach your fundraising goal. After signing up on this page, you will receive an email outlining these resources, staff contact information, and next steps.
