My name is Finnegan and I am a tiny bunny with a BIG heart, literally! That’s what my doctors said when they diagnosed me with an enlarged heart. My prognosis wasn’t good, but I have shown everyone what a determined little rabbit I am. I have defied all odds for 2.5 years and today I am a happy bundle of energy. My heart condition won’t slow me down. I run, jump and zoom around like the rest of them! Tiny bunnies like me are said to be feisty and off-standish, but not ME. I love everyone and everybun, and try to be friends with every new rescue bun that comes into our home. My mom says it’s because I have such a big heart. I share my home with five other adopted rescue rabbits. Four of them were rescued through Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue. Some came from a hoarding situation; others were dumped in a park to fend for themselves My mom Astrid volunteers for Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue, so I hear all about all the rabbits needing rescue. The need for help never ends. Neither do the bills. And these bills add up!! That’s why my mom Astrid promised to walk 2 miles a day with the goal of raising $1000. To support Astrid’s efforts, just click on the “Support by Donating” button on our page! That will help us BRING HOME THE GOLD for Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue! This is Safe Haven's first year with the Goat Games, and we are excited to join in the fun! We hope YOU will JOIN US as we strive to help Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue raise $10,000 to help continue its work. It would mean the world to me!

Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue

I’m excited to share that this year I’ve decided to join Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue’s fundraising event! My first fan, Velveteen, will not be physically participating in the games but he’ll be on the bench seat carefully watching. My 11-year-old boy suffers from sore hocks and because of that I had custom socks made for him. He’s a happy boy but not as active as he was before and therefore, I will be joining the competition to help my team. My bunny Velveteen will probably be munching on hay while I continue training for the Goat Games from August 12th to August 15th. I hope many of you will consider supporting me and the rescue as I prepare to run 10 miles. It would mean so much if you help me reach my goal. Thank you! To support me raise our goal of $ 500, just click on the “Support by Donating” button on our page! That will help us BRING HOME THE GOLD for Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue! This is Safe Haven's first year with the Goat Games, and we are excited to join in the fun! We hope YOU will JOIN US as we strive to help Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue raise $3,000 to help continue its work. Help Team Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue take home the gold! Join as an athlete who raises money OR you can carry the torch as a donor. Either way, YOU are a champion for the animals! Be sure to spread the word to your friends, family and co-workers so they can get in on the fun! Everything you need to know about The Goat Games can be found here in the FAQs. Meet Team Captain Rocky! Rocky's multiple birth defects are no match for this spunky little guy! With a prosthetic being created to help him move around without pain, Rocky is excited and we know he will lead the Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue team with courage and strength into the Goat Games! This is Safe Haven's first year with the Goat Games, and we are excited to join in the fun! We hope YOU will JOIN US as we strive to raise $5,000 to help us continue our work. You can run, walk, jog, swim! Whatever you like, wherever you like! You can even "Sit and Knit" for a few hours! This is fun way to get outside and have fun while helping raise money for this important cause. You can bet Rocky will be cheering you on! About Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue Since 2003, Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue has provided foster home care for abandoned, abused, and neglected domestic rabbits. All rabbits are spayed/neutered, provided the best medical care available, and receive individualized attention and love of their foster families. Those rabbits who are not eligible for adoption, either due to health, age or temperament remain with us as sanctuary bunnies. Safe Haven continues to develop our foster homes, educational programs, and outreach programs as a means of providing and promoting the best care for rabbits and to inspire action for this often misunderstood and too often abandoned species.

Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue

Hi, my name is MaryAnne. I have two very important jobs here at Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue. You see, I was abandoned, with a baby in August 2014. My first people drove down a long driveway, stopped the truck, put me and baby out and just drove away. It was so scary! Luckily, the people who lived there knew about Safe Haven. I let them catch me right away, but my little baby (Andy) was so scared he ran into the woods. It took a week, but thankfully he was caught and came to Safe Haven with me. I know, get to the important jobs.... ok, so I was adopted by Karen, the rescue’s director and I live in the main foster home with her. My regular job is “Hall Monitor!” Every morning, I run down the hall to check on the sanctuary bunnies who live just down the hall. During the Goat Games, I will also be checking on Karen to be sure she is getting on the treadmill every day to earn money for all the bunnies in the rescue. With your help of course! Karen promises to get on her treadmill every day during Goat Games week. Our goal is to raise $600 toward the team goal. I think she can do it with YOUR support!! **It is with much sorry that I share the loss of my MaryAnne. An aggressive cancer took her much too soon on August 10th, 2022. I know she is still with me in spirit. I feel her strength and courage still guiding me and know she is cheering us all on. She will live forever in my heart. My life was blessed by her companionship.

Hi! I am Choco, I was rescued in Baltimore Maryland and moved with my mom Yumi to NJ. Back then, I had a boyfriend named Usachu. Sadly he passed away a few years ago (he was almost 16 years old!). Now I have new friends who love to feed me; Kotaro and Sana. They know that I do not like to be held and only accept gentle head strokes, even at the age of 2 and 7! I love chewing wood and cardboard, running and hiding in a tunnel. During the Goat game, Yumi will walk or run 5000 steps or 30 minutes every day to raise funds for the Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue team, following our Team Captain Rocky! To support us and raise our goal of $5000, just click on the “Support by Donating” button on our page! That will help us BRING HOME THE GOLD for Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue! Hello! Thank you for coming to my page as I join the Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue in #thegoatgames2022. I'm participating to show support of this rescue which saved my bunny, Louise (aka Weezy!) from abuse/neglect. If you have had the pleasure of meeting Weezy you know just how sweet, funny (and treat motivated!) she is!! She was lucky to be saved by her rescuers, but not everybun is so lucky. Rescue and foster is very expensive, time consuming, and emotionally draining work. Any money you can donate towards this cause is very much appreciated by me, the rescue, and of course, the bunnies!! I pledge that I will run 2 miles a day during this time. Weezy pledges to do 2 zoomies a day (though likely will do more!) She will also give 2 boops a day to a passing ankle for a pat on the head. I am hoping to raise (at least) 200 dollars in support of the rescue! Please click the donate button and help our team help the bunnies!!
