This year's Goat Games is hugely important to Wildwood! We have to move from our current location and need funding to purchase or lease a new property. If we're able to secure a new home for our beloved animals, we'll consider that the biggest win of all. If we can't, your support will help us move our animals safely to new sanctuaries where they'll continue to be loved and cared for. Either way, we're counting on you to help us get through this enormous challenge! Now, onto the fun... Our 2022 team captain, Orin, is both an athlete and an inspiring leader. At 14 years of age, he's definitely the senior team captain of our goat herd here at Wildwood. He keeps everyone in line! He has the sweetest personality and is still very agile! He is taking his new job very seriously and demanding excellence from the team – no ifs, ands or buts about it. Well, maybe a few butts. Most of the animals at Wildwood had a pretty rough start in life. Many were rescued from factory farms, terrible abuse and neglect. If you know me, you probably know that I volunteer at Wildwood, an animal sanctuary near my home. Wildwood has been such an amazing place to volunteer at because all of the animals are given such love and outstanding care. The grounds are absolutely stunning and visiting each week is always something I look forward to. All of the animals were rescued from the farming industry in one way or another - some were saved from being slaughtered for meat, others were saved from being tortured for eggs, and others were saved from being exploited for their wool. I have never met such happy and sweet animals as the ones at Wildwood. Even though some animals have only been at Wildwood for less than a year, they already have understood that they are safe and cared for and will approach you for treats or pets. I was devastated a few weeks ago when I heard the news that Wildwood would be closing down. However, due to the outpouring of love and support from the community, Wildwood has announced that they will be able to relocate the farm to a more viable property instead of having to close down! This means that all of the animals will get to stay together and live the rest of their lives with their friends they have become so close to. Now, Wildwood needs our help! We are about 1/4 of the way to affording a new property but we need to fundraise the rest in order to make this dream come true. If you’re able to pitch in even a few dollars, it would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your help!

I’m taking part in the 2022 Goat Games from Friday, August 12th through Monday, August 15th to help rescued farmed animals! The Goat Games is a virtual fundraiser for 13 animal sanctuaries across the country, and you can be a champion right where you live, work and play. I’ll be mooooo-ving to raise money for my favorite sanctuary and I’m asking for the support of friends and family to help me reach my goal! You can help me get the GOLD for animals by sending a gift through the “Support by Donating” button on this page. No contribution is too small, and every dollar you give will go towards providing safety, dignity, and love to farmed animals in need. As you know, I have volunteered my time at Wildwood Farm Sanctuary for the last 5 years. Just recently it was announced that the farm will be closing. GREAT NEWS...we are not closing, but moving to a new property. All the animals will get to stay together! We’re launching an important campaign to buy a permanent home for the sanctuary, and I’m registered for a fun event to raise money. I hope you’ll consider supporting me in the 2022 Goat Games. This cause means a lot to me and I’m happy to play a role in the sanctuary’s success. Wildwood is 10 years old and it’s home to 90 animals who were rescued from animal agriculture. Many of them were seized by law enforcement during investigations of horrible cruelty and neglect. At the sanctuary, these animals learn to trust, they form new bonds, and they thrive. The Goat Games brings together accredited sanctuaries from across the country to raise money and awareness. This is our second time participating, and this year our participation is all about securing a future for our sanctuary! After 10 years of operating on our founder’s private property, years of drought are forcing us to find a safer location. With growing concerns about fire dangers and the well’s water capacity, we’re raising money to buy a new property that will serve as a permanent home to the sanctuary. A generous donor has committed about ⅓ of the money we’ll need to secure a property. We still need to raise about $700,000, and that’s a steep climb fit for a mountain goat! We’re committed to doing it, because having a permanent, dedicated location not only ensures a lifelong home for our sanctuary animals, but it will increase our capacity to host events and offer educational programs like tours and day camps. Our goal is $20,000. My personal goal is to raise $1,000 of that. I hope you’ll consider joining us, and I’d love it if you’d share with your friends. Thank you for your support! Jenn Wear Your Team Show your support for Wildwood Farm Sanctuary by repping our official Goat Games team shirt! 100% of all proceeds go directly to our sanctuary! Either way, we need your help us get through this enormous challenge! Wildwood is extremely important to me and my family for so many different reasons. My favorite reason is that the animals have been saved from devastating circumstances and have been given a loving place to live and be safe. A race to save our sanctuary! Now, surrounded by love and good friends, they are free to be their sweet, sensitive, silly selves. Nothing makes the humans here happier than to see them engage in shenanigans and hijinks. About Wildwood Farm Sanctuary & Preserve Wildwood Farm Sanctuary & Preserve is an accredited, 501c3 farm animal sanctuary currently located in Newberg, Oregon. Since 2012, we have provided a safe haven for abused and abandoned farmed animals. We are looking for a new property to continue our mission of promoting compassion and inspiring change.

Hello family and Friends: I plan to help Wildwood (which is also my place of employment!) by pushing myself out of complacency and game mastering a number of hours of Dungeons and Dragons! Henceforth my pledge is to run a half-hour of gameplay for every $50 that are donated to my Goat Games athlete page! I have a goal of $1000 which means the potential for a full 10 hours of goofy roleplaying and desperately needed experience building behind the game master screen (most likely split up over the weekend)! My donors can look forward to sneak peeks of what adventures or modules I plan on running, pictures of my table top setup including battle maps and miniatures as well as insight into the mysterious but wildly misunderstood culture of Dungeons and Dragons! Thank you! Please continue further for more details about wildwood and our current quest to buy our very own property! A race to save our sanctuary!
