We all know someone who has been impacted by cancer. We've heard of the tribulations, the financial burden, the battle for life. But unless you've personally suffered from cancer, you don't know how the harsh side effects of cancer treatment feel. Even with the best cancer care, 8.8 million people die each year from cancer worldwide. Not only do this many people die, but the side effects of treatment undergone are so harsh, this can hardly be considered life. Hair loss, depletion of energy, digestive issues, nausea, severe weight loss, deterioration of skin quality... these are all things that severely impact, not only the individual's duration of life, but their quality of life. The Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation is on the verge of changing the way cancer is treated and reducing human suffering by providing cancer care that is accessible, affordable and effective. Our founder, Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green, has developed a patent-pending cancer treatment that does not show side effects in mice, a preliminary study to humans, and completely eliminates tumors in mice over 15 days after a single 10-minute treatment. We are confident that we can translate this ground-breaking study into a feasible treatment for humans. However, this is no small endeavor. To develop Dr. Green's treatment for human use requires manufacturing human-grade materials, conducting clinical trials, and seeking FDA approval. This alone is upwards of a $30 million dollar effort. This is why we need you. We know the potential is there, but we cannot manifest this into a viable cancer treatment without your support. Please support our fundraising campaign by donating, sharing our page on social media, or becoming a fundraiser to increase awareness of the campaign. Alone, we are small. United, we are mighty. Together, #WeAreOraLee.

Cancer affects many of us – about 8.8 million people die from cancer each year, worldwide. Our family, friends, colleagues or even ourselves, with the best care, can be subjected to harsh side effects, lengthy treatment durations, prohibitive costs and limited accessibility. Now there’s a better way! The Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation is prepared to save lives, using a new revolutionary technology developed by founder, Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green. Dr. Green’s patent-pending cancer treatment completely eliminates tumors in mice, in just 15 days, after a single 10-minute treatment, without side effects! The Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation’s purpose is to translate Dr. Green’s groundbreaking cancer treatment out of the laboratory and into hospitals where people need it most. Every day, we receive requests from desperate cancer patients (and their loved-ones) who have been sent home to die. Knowing that our treatment could save their lives, it is heartbreaking to tell these patients “no” when we have the technology but not the funding to say “yes.” Help us say “yes” and save lives… Be one of the 300,000 people we need to donate $100 in order to reach the goal of $30 million to cover the costs of clinical trials and FDA approval. 300,000 people x $100 = $30 million goal! Join our efforts and support our fundraising campaign by donating $100 today or $10 a month, and “Become a Fundraiser” to help us reach 300,000 people by setting up your own personalized donation page! Our plan, with the support of our team of oncologists, is to begin clinical trials 12-24 months after reaching our fundraising goal. All donations are tax-deductible! Please share our page on social media to increase awareness of this campaign. We have the capacity to save lives. With our revolutionary technology, we can. With your help, we will change the way cancer is treated and save lives. Together, #WeAreOraLee.We also accept offline donations. It takes a lot of courage to be the first and take action on a vision, to go beyond hope. This is a testament to their leadership and commitment to our families, our community, and our future.” said Green.
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.®, the first African American collegiate Greek-letter organization, establishes a historic partnership with a tech-based cancer nonprofit, Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation, to raise cancer awareness and save lives. In July 2019, at the 95th Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.® General Convention in Las Vegas, Nev., the Board of Directors voted unanimously to partner with the Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation to save lives and change the way cancer is treated. The goal of the partnership is to raise cancer awareness and funding for human clinical trials. “Everyone has a loved one, or knows someone, fighting this disease. Too many have been impacted and too many lives lost, but this is an opportunity to change that outcome. The more than 200,000 members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.® are honored to be the first Greek-Letter organization to join forces with the Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation in this fight to save lives,” said Dr. Everett Ward, 35th President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.® Nationally recognized cancer researcher, Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green, has developed a cancer treatment that completely eliminates tumors in mice in just 15 days after one treatment, without any observed side effects. She founded the Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation to ensure this treatment will be affordable and accessible. “I thank Dr. Ward and the members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.® for joining our efforts. It takes a lot of courage to be the first and take action on a vision, to go beyond hope. This is a testament to their leadership and commitment to our families, our community, and our future.” said Green.
Most, if not all of us know someone who has been impacted by cancer. We've heard of the tribulations, the financial burden, the battle for life. However, unless you've personally suffered from cancer, you don't know how the harsh side effects of cancer treatment feel. This is personal; besides my maternal grandmother, I've had an inordinate number of family members, friends, and colleagues directly impacted. Even with the best cancer care, 8.8 million people die each year from cancer worldwide. Not only do this many people die, but the side effects of treatment undergone are so harsh, this can hardly be considered life. Hair loss, depletion of energy, digestive issues, nausea, severe weight loss, deterioration of skin quality... these are all things that severely impact, not only the individual's duration of life but their quality of life. The Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation is on the verge of changing the way cancer is treated and reducing human suffering by providing cancer care that is accessible, affordable and effective. The founder, Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green, has developed a patent-pending cancer treatment that does not show side effects in mice, a preliminary study to humans, and completely eliminates tumors in mice over 15 days after a single 10-minute treatment. The Foundation is confident in its ability to translate this ground-breaking study into a feasible treatment for humans. However, as you can imagine, this is no small endeavor. To develop Dr. Green's treatment for human use requires manufacturing human-grade materials, conducting clinical trials, and seeking FDA approval. This alone is upwards of a $30 million dollar effort. This is why the Ora Lee Foundation needs you. The potential is there, but they cannot manifest this into a viable cancer treatment without your support. This is a personal appeal to Alpha Brothers asking you to support this fundraising campaign by donating, sharing the page on social media, or becoming a fundraiser to increase awareness of the campaign. Alone, we are small. United, we are mighty. Together, #WeAreOraLee.
