I've chosen to raise funds specifically for the Missouri Special Olympics because of its profound impact on the local community. With over 17,000 athletes across the state, the Missouri Special Olympics provides crucial support and opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, fostering inclusion and empowerment. Statistics reveal that nearly 40% of Missourians have a disability, highlighting the importance of organizations like the Special Olympics in creating a more inclusive society.By supporting the Missouri Special Olympics, I'm directly contributing to programs that enhance the lives of athletes, their families, and communities throughout the state. Through sports, training, and competitions, the Special Olympics promotes physical fitness, self-confidence, and social skills among participants. Every dollar raised goes towards ensuring that these programs remain accessible and impactful for individuals with intellectual disabilities across Missouri, ultimately creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.
Chris and I both spent time in special needs organizations in high school and we'd love any opportunity to continue to give back!

RPS has a culture of teamwork, empathy, and taking the initiative. This culture is built on the foundation of our shared values, some of which state: “We all need one another. We are all cogs in a wheel,” “Empathy for the other person is not a weakness,” “We adhere to the highest standards of moral and ethical behavior,” and “We run to problems, not away from them.” That last one, Adam Mazan, Vice President Pacific Region, and his team in southern California took quite literally. They were looking to make an impact. They were looking to be Better Together, but how? Adam and his team settled upon the idea of a charity run. However, it wouldn’t be any standard 5K or half-marathon…or even a full marathon. To make a difference, they were looking to be different. Run 36 miles in 36 hours! Work some, then run some. Eat. Sleep. Work. Run. Repeat! Join us in supporting Adam and his team as they become Better Together and run to benefit some of their favorite charities. Some team members plan on running all 36 miles themselves, while others will be doing it as a relay team. This team proves that when you work together, you can make things better!
This year, we're expanding our efforts with more branches, more runners, and more funds raised for our chosen charities. But the miles? We're sticking with 36.Join us on October 1st and 2nd as the RPS team takes on the challenge of covering 36 miles within 36 hours. Follow along as we put our passion into action!Last year, we raised nearly $20,000. This year, we're aiming to more than triple that! That wouldn't just be "Better Together"—it would be "Way Better Together."
Hey Everyone! As many of you know my brother has Down Syndrome. We have been involved with Special Olympics in one way or another throughout most of his life. We see the joy and compassion this organization brings to people with disabilities. It is something I have a personal connection to and would love your support! I am on a journey to complete a 100 mile trail race in Tennessee on April 3rd. I am putting together a fundraiser/pledge for an "adopt a mile" type of support for Special Olympics. For every mile I complete, I am seeking pledge support. Example, if you pledge $1 per mile, max donation would be $100. $0.25 per mile, it would be $25, ECT... I will post updates at the completion of the race on how many miles I complete (hopefully finish!) and then donations can be made. Thank you for your consideration!!

Special Olympics is a global organization that serves athletes with intellectual disabilities, working with hundreds of thousands of volunteers and coaches each year. Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continued opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, form healthy lifestyles, achieve success, and experience the joy of sports. Registered athletes are never asked to pay a fee of any kind to participate in Special Olympics. Everything is provided for them including athletic uniforms, awards, sports training, competition facilities, coaches’ education, transportation, and much more. I am fortunate to be working with the Special Olympics organization for over 3 years now as a football and basketball coach. Being a fitness and sports enthusiast, I would like to make a difference within the sports world, especially for the disadvantaged, and Special Olympics is providing me the opportunity to do so. I sincerely thank you for the donations. Your donations will help carry the flame of hope for the participating athletes.Thank you, Aditya

Melanie was an incredible Special Education teacher for over 20 years. She loved her students and fought for them in every way possible. When we were thinking about a charity for people to donate to in her name, there was no doubt that The Special Olympics was the perfect organization. For those of you who who knew and loved Melanie, please make a donation in her name in lieu of flowers. Let's make a difference for these kids just as she would have wanted it! We love you Mel and you are forever in our hearts.
We open this fundraiser on behalf of Pamela Franklin’s beloved father, David M.Anderson, who passed away this week. David’s favorite charity was the Special Olympics, so we donate in his honor. Thank you for honoring his memory and legacy!

We are just two dads looking to better the World a little bit. As streamers we believe we can provide a positive impact on the World around us. We both have a place in our hearts for the Special Olympics and want to help athletes reach their potential. Thank you for helping us out!
