Volunteering with Special Olympics has truly changed my life. This Organization gives opportunities to individuals with disabilities, that they may not have access to otherwise. Special Olympics fosters an accepting and inclusive environment, and with your donation, more individuals with disabilities can have the opportunity to be a part of it. Hi! My name is Katie Orlin and I'm currently a student at Duke University. Throughout my childhood and time before Duke, I spent a lot of time playing sports and investing in my passion for athletics. I was a synchronized ice skater for ten years and competed regionally, nationally, and internationally. I am fortunate enough that I was able to pursue my dreams, and now I want to make sure that every kid also has this opportunity. Now, as an undergraduate student I stay involved with synchronized skating as an assistant coach for a group of young girls in the North Carolina. Additionally, I have taken an interest in running and have now set a goal for myself to run a half marathon. Not only was being an athlete a physical test on my body, but the sport allowed me to develop perseverance, dedication, and hard work that have all contributed to my current success as a student. As I set my sights on achieving another athletic goal of mine, and running a half marathon I would like to contribute to the athletic community of those who are not always given the chance to participate in athletic competition. I will be running my FIRST half marathon on April 4 in Winston Salem, NC, and I kindly request for you to donate to this cause as I run this race. I am running to help every athlete live their dream and participate in the incredible culture of sport.

The F45 Lincoln Park North trainers are ready to have the members put them through an intense 45 minute workout. We are all in this together, and the F45 workouts are just as challenging for us as they are to the members! Now it's time to let the members have some fun by pushing us to our limits! We chose the Special Olympics because fitness is crucial for living a healthier lifestyle. We look forward to supporting this organization since it hits close to home for us.

On Friday December 3rd at 515pm, the F45 Lincoln Park North Trainers are ready to have the members put them through an intense, sweaty 45-minute F45 workout. F45 workouts are just as challenging for the trainers as they are to the members. Now it's time to let the members have some fun by pushing the trainers' limits and giving them a taste of their own medicine! Donations will be made to the Special Olympics. Fitness is crucial for living a healthier lifestyle and we want to help fund equipment, training, and health screenings for athletes in need.

In Lieu of flowers we'd like to raise some money for a great cause. My dad loved all types of sports and we think the Special Olympics embodies a lot of what my dad believed in. Whatever you can donate would be appreciated. Thank you for your support.

To celebrate Disability Pride Month this July, our DE&I courtside team at Store 471 decided to create this fundraiser to support our local community by coming together to make a donation to the NC Special Olympics team! Feel free to share this fundraiser with family and friends to help us reach or surpass our goal! We will also be hosting a store bake sale on Tuesday, July 11th with all proceeds going to the fundraiser! Thank you so much for making a difference in our community and continuing to make it a more inclusive place!

This is in association with the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge and in honor of my sister Debbie. She was a participant of the Special Olympics for many years until she passed in 2014.
