A group of Grand Valley State University students and I are collecting donations to allow all deserving Special Olympics basketball teams to attend the local District 11 tournament. This program will enable athletes to compete in Unified team play. Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities to compete together on the same team. Every year teams are left out due to financial restrictions; thus, members of Special Olympics are missing out on valuable life experiences. Your donation will help fund a team in need to attend the final tournament in future years. If you would like to donate, you can click the link below!

After creating our WCIH sports magazine which mostly focused on Sports Day, we are now raising money for Special Olympics! At Wellington, we are a kind and inclusive community, and Special Olympics is a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. This is a great cause which can help to create a better world for all.
Hello, my name is Andrew Ryan and I am the Philanthropy Chair at the Chi Deuteron chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa. The Special Olympics is very important to our chapter and our goal is to raise $3,000 for them. Everybody should get the opportunity to get involved with athletics, and the Special Olympics does amazing work bringing this opportunity to people with intellectual disabilities.

This fundraiser is in the memory of William (Bill) Ryan. He loved coaching Special Olympics and made every athlete feel like a champion.

Hi Friends & Family! I wanted to get involved with giving back to the community, so together with a couple of my work friends, we've joined forces to participate in the Wheaton Hot Cider Hustle 5k Fun Walk on Saturday, October 29 . We are raising money for the Special Olympics, a not-for-profit organization offering year-round training and competition for athletes and young athletes with disabilities. This is especially dear to me because I believe in supporting community programs for people with disabilities, whether physical or intellectual or mental, seen and unseen, disclosed or undisclosed. You probably know someone that is living with a disability and they are in need of some type of support. Special Olympics programs enhance physical fitness, motor skills, self-confidence, social skills and encourage family and community support. If my team, The Good Witches, meets or exceeds our fundraising goals, we can apply for a fundraising grant through our company foundation to match our contributions. I hope you'll donate to our cause! No donation is too small! Thank you for all your support! Event info: https://allcommunityevents.com/hotciderhustle

As a Artist I understand the important role devloping and sharing special talents plays in living a full life. The opportunity to pusue a passion, set goals and experience success has the power to break isolation. The Special Olympics provides its athletes with these exciting community opportunities and assists all participants in developing life long skills, support and friendships that lead to a life balanced with joy, love, passion and hard work. As the owner of Arrow Artistic Endeavors Gallery I selected the Special Olympics for their dedication to diversity, inclusion and encouragement for their athletes. Together I believe that we can continue to strengthen that dedication and break isolation. In addition to establishing a fundraiser for these very special athletes and silent auction events 20% of original artwork sales goes to benefit the Special Olympics program. Please join me and Arrow Artistic Endeavors Gallery in providing equipment and training for the next Special Olympic Games. Visit Artpal.com/cdwhitmore45 or Arrowartistic@instagram for more information on silent auction events and original art purchases. Thank you for supporting this great cause.
