This year, I'll be traveling to Guatemala with fellow students from The University of Scranton to participate in a labor-based service trip. While on this seven day trip, our group will be building and updating houses and a medical clinic in hopes to have an extensive impact in a rural Guatemalan community. This year I have been the honor and privilege to travel to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic with 9 of my peers. It is truly an honor to be able to participate in the Caribbean Social Immersion Program, which focuses on the lives of migrant workers in sugar mill communities. I have been blessed with the privilege to travel to Nicaragua through the University of Scranton's International Service Program (ISP)! This trip gives me the opportunity to learn about many different parts of the culture as well as offer presence-based service.
