This organization works in both Nogales, Mexico and Nogales, Arizona to provide humanitarian aid to people on both sides of the Mexico/America border. I am excited to announce that from May 26th to June 2nd I will be travelling to San Juan, Dominican Republic to participate in a week long service trip. Myself and nine other students will participate in a week-long construction project through the organization, Cambiando Vidas. We will engage in a cultural and communal experience of building a house with a family. We will see the project through to completion – from the foundation to welcoming the family into their new home. Hi! My name is Adela Saliaj and I am a second-year student at the University of Scranton. I am majoring in Physiology and minoring in Philosophy. I was honored to be selected to take part in an International Service Trip to Guatemala! During this trip, I will be given the chance to work on different projects with students at the University and the people of Guatemala! We will be leaving May 30th 2018 until June 9th. I have never gone on a service trip before, so this trip will allow for a unique kind of growth. The total expense for this trip will be $1,100.
