In memory of Hemen Shah As many of you know, Hemen was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) in 2016. IPF is a disease that impacts your lung function, and one without a cure. It is a progressive disease, moving quickly for some patients and slowly for others. Until about two weeks ago, Hemen was able to carry conversations, walk on his own, and was generally stable with regards to his condition. Unfortunately, as is common with this disease, his condition declined suddenly and he was hospitalized for a few days. After he was released, we hoped he would be able to return to his previous quality of life, but the disease continued to progress rapidly from there. IPF is not a well researched or well understood disease. Jack and Ronald Severson Please donate in the name of Jack and Ronald Severson, so that a cure and/or treatments to prolong life for sufferers of this terrible disease can be found. Jack Severson was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 3, 1932 and passed away on April 20, 2010 from Pulmonary Fibrosis. He is mourned by his wife Peggy and children Chris, Paula, Albert and Lisa. He joined his infant son Mark in heaven. He is further survived by his grandchildren Ross, Christy, Miles and Mark. He never met his great grandchildren Liam, Dash, Avery, Erica, Amina, and Emmet Jack. He was very family oriented and close to his siblings Fay, Oran, Oral, Beverly and Ron. His youngest brother Ron has just been diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis and this has been devastating news for our family. On April 13, 2015, Ron lost his battle to Pulmonary Fibrosis. He is survived by his wife Carol, his children Renee, Russ, Randy, Sheila, Stephanie, Sue, Jason and Amy. He will be dearly missed by his 16 grandchildren: Tim, Kellen, Christian, Jake, Taylor, Hunter, Mackenzie, Sarah, Molly, Jansen, Nicholas, Laura, Ansley, Matt, Olivia and Alex and infant great- grandchild Elena. We are raising awareness and funds for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. My husband, Jackie L. Fisher, was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in June 2013. He passed away 11 months later at age 75 from this disease. Jackie was a devoted and loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather. He worked at NASA for 37 years at the Johnson Spacecraft Center and retired to Wimberley, TX in 1998. He learned to play the violin and became a member of the Starlight Symphony Orchestra for eight years. He was passionate about music, genealogy and travel. I promised Jackie that I would do all I could to educate people about this disease and help raise funds for research. Please donate in the name of Jackie L.
