Linda Hopper On October 23rd 2016 I lost my mother to Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was a remarkable woman who faced this disease with strength and grace. We were very close and had so much fun together and I'm heartbroken. I'm trying not think of what I lost but of what I had. I want to raise awareness to help other families dealing with this disease and to find a cure one day. Linda passed away peacefully on 1/12/2025 surrounded by her loving family following a challenging year of battling against pulmonary fibrosis and chronic respiratory failure. She was hospitalized in January 2024 with shortness of breath, and following an extensive workup was diagnosed with cryptogenic organizing pneumonia. She spent two months in the hospital having multiple procedures done and requiring a large amount of oxygen before being discharged to rehab. Despite treatment, Linda's condition left her with lung scarring called pulmonary fibrosis as well as chronic respiratory failure requiring continuous oxygen therapy. Linda was determined to get stronger again and was dedicated to working with physical and occupational therapy. She made so much progress and overcame so many challenges this past year. She remained optimistic through it all. Unfortunately, a series of hospital admissions for pneumonia at the end of 2024 left her even weaker than before and ultimately it was too much for her body to overcome. She will be deeply missed by many, but most of all by her husband Hubert, daughter Elizabeth, son-in-law James and her beloved grandson Oliver. My name is Tatiana Riera, and I am the daughter of a wonderful man who fought against IPF since 2014. I recently lost my father due to this illness and I feel like the only proper way to deal with the pain of the loss is to do the one thing my dad always taught me to do and reminded me constantly, help others. In Loving Memory of Maria Guadalupe Felix On June 13, 2020, Maria Guadalupe Felix, loving wife and mother passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her husband and children in Hanford, CA at the age of 75. She married her first love, Enrique Felix and she was a beloved mother and mother-in-law to Jaime Felix (Lorraine), Griselda Yrigollen (Adelsio), Carlos Felix (Brenda) and Ernesto Felix (Victoria). She is also survived by her grandchildren who she loved dearly, Elijah, Alyssa, Anthony, Noah, Giovanni, Ashley, Emiliano, Sofia, Uriah, Andrew and Desirae. Maria was born on April 26, 1945 in Cuquio, Jalisco, Mexico to Domingo and Mercedes Mora, who predeceased her. She grew up in a large family and was the oldest of seven sisters and three brothers. She married Enrique in 1966 and lived most of her life in Hanford, CA. Maria was a retired business owner working side by side with her husband and children. She was known for her authentic Mexican food. She loved sewing, cooking, creating crafts, gardening, and traveling. She was a creative artist with a vision for beautiful things. Maria's biggest accomplishment was her family. She loved nothing more than to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Maria was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) about 4 years ago. She persisted to fight her illness and remained a strong, courageous woman, even throughout her final weeks. She lived a full and rewarding life. Maria was an extraordinary family woman, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and Godmother. On behalf of Maria Felix's family, we would like to thank all of you for your continued prayers and support.
