Michael Bruce Halpern September 22, 1947 - July 30, 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Halpern. He passed peacefully in the early hours of July 30th with his wife, Valerie, by his side. In his final days and hours, he was surrounded by those that he loved and who adored him. Michael had a significant impact on many children during his years with the NY Department of Education as well as the 40 years he owned Staten Island Day Camp. Michael fought his hardest to beat Pulmonary Fibrosis, so we know that he would appreciate that your donations could potentially help others suffering from this disease. Please donate in the name of Michael Halpern, so that a cure and/or treatments to prolong life for sufferers of this terrible disease can be found. Michael Graybill

Michael Graybill Michael Willis Graybill, 60, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 31, 2021. On January 1, 1961, Mike was born to Keith and Lucy Graybill. He was the first baby born in Independence, MO, that year. But, unbeknownst to Mike, the man who would be his lifelong best friend, Duane Price, was born in the same hospital just a few hours before our favorite New Year’s baby. Growing up in Independence, Mike was active in sports, playing football and wrestling through his days at Fort Osage High School. In addition, he played the tuba for the high school band and was active in Boy Scouts attaining the honor of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1979 and went on to earn his BA in Political Science from UMKC. Mike married the love of his life, Renee Babcock, on August 29, 2009. The two of them together faced the blessings, challenges, and heartache life threw their way through their faith in God. Mike’s favorite hobby frequently found him riding his Harley down any nearby winding road with his beloved wife Renee and often with a pack of family and friends. Mike was a loving and loyal husband to his wife, a devoted father to his children, an affectionate grandfather, a cherished brother, and a trusted friend to many. Mike’s abounding love can be seen in the cherished family he leaves behind, his church family, his co-workers, neighbors, and anyone who had the opportunity to be blessed by his friendship and his testimony of how God worked in his life. Mike was a double-lung transplant recipient on August 7, 2020. He had many challenges along the way but was always ready to share the gospel and pray for those who cared for him throughout his recovery. Please donate in the name of Michael Graybill, so that a cure and/or treatments to prolong life for sufferers of this terrible disease can be found. All proceeds go towards: • Finding effective treatments and a cure for pulmonary fibrosis• Advocating for the pulmonary fibrosis community • Promoting disease awareness • Providing a compassionate environment for patients and their families Please donate and together we can help those living with pulmonary fibrosis and the families of those we have lost. Miguel Aristizabal

My father, Miguel, was a very active man! As a kid and into adulthood he played all different sports…he loved to run, soccer, roller skate, walk, lift weights, and challenge himself to be the best version of himself physically. Despite his diagnosis with Pulmonary Fibrosis he gave his all and never gave up! He taught us to keep pushing and moving even when he could barely catch his breath. On June 5,2022 I plan to run my first half marathon in memory of my father. I hope to raise my goal of $1,500 to help find a cure. Thank you to all for your support!
