Thomas Moritz Thomas Moritz, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather took his final flight on May 22, 2012 when he passed away after a year long battle with IPF. Tom was a well-respected pharmacist that dedicated himself to helping others throughout his life and beyond. Tom has graciously donated his body to science in hopes to find a cure for IPF so others can avoid the pain he and his family experienced over the last year. We love you and miss you everyday. Toni Bauernhuber On Sunday, November 8th 2020 Toni Ann Bauernhuber ended her fight with Pulmonary Fibrosis surrounded by her loved ones. Toni was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Joann, her siblings Jeannette, Kevin and Rick. Survived by her husband John, her children Sam(Shannon), Jeremy, Jessica(Nico) and Lisa; her grandchildren Selena, Brianna, Nick, Olivia, Liliana, Emiliana, Nicholas, and Darlene; her siblings Mark and Mike. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, and grandmother, who made sure that all those around her felt loved. She had a talent for crafts, putting love and care into each project. Each one a work of art in its own way, that family would wait in anticipation to receive regardless of the occasion. That was the woman she was, taking care to make sure those around her felt loved and important. Leading by example to her children, who grew to show the world the same kindness. Come holiday season, she looked most forward to the time spent with her loved ones. The fondest memories were having her grandchildren come to her house to help decorate for Christmas. She enjoyed most, the time spent with her family and connecting with those around her. She enjoyed spring and the new life that it would bring. Having a passion for gardening included spending time outdoors with her beloved flowers. Towards the end of her life she aspired to move to the Oregon coast, spending her time among the trees and roaring ocean. The beach being one of her favorite places to go when she was able. After building a beautiful home and new life in North Bend, she wanted to plant a field of wildflowers to add her touch to the already expansive forest. Not only did she want to add beauty to this world but she was one of the most beautiful people all were lucky to meet. Late in the afternoon of Monday, August 21, 2023, Valerie Anne Coleman of McLean, VA passed away peacefully after being surrounded by her loved ones over her final days. Valerie was the beloved wife of Daniel J. Coleman; mother of Stephanie Linnartz (Darren), Leslie Rose (Jason), Andrew Coleman (Anne), Brendan Coleman (Tara), Gavin Coleman (Alexandra), and Colin Coleman (Kara Pazik); grandmother of Aidan and Heidi Linnartz, Olivia, Charlotte, and Eloise Rose, Madeline Coyte, Molly, James, Samantha, and Winnie Coleman, Grady and Grayson Sullivan, Cooper and Piper Coleman, Henry, Taylor, and Peter Coleman; sister of Frank, Michael, and John O’Connell, Louise Stone, Karen Connor, and the late Kevin O’Connell; and best friend of Linda Rosecan. Valerie was an extraordinary sister, friend, wife, mom and grandmother. She was a remarkable woman who will never be forgotten and loved forever by those listed here and so many more. Relatives and friends may call at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church, 900 North Capitol Street NW, Washington, DC, on Friday, September 15 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. when a prayer service will be held. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aloysius on Saturday, September 16 at 12 noon. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Valerie’s name to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
