Anne Stone

Anne Stone In April of 2022, Anne went to the doctor because she'd been experiencing shortness of breath. Her regular physician was concerned that it was a pulmonary embolism; instead, after several days in the hospital and a variety of tests, we learned it was idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. "Idiopathic" means they're unable to pinpoint a cause. "Pulmonary fibrosis" means that it's a permanent, progressive scarring of her lungs. Anne tried two different experimental medications intended to stop the progression of her disease, but unfortunately it continued to advance. At the end of June 2023, her doctor indicated that it was time to begin hospice. On October 1, 2023 she passed away. Anne was an incredible mother, always advocating for her children and grandchildren, as well as a beloved sister and friend. She is deeply loved and missed. Please consider donating to help find a cure for this disease, so that no other families have to suffer through this unfortunate journey in the future. All proceeds go towards: • Finding effective treatments and a cure for pulmonary fibrosis• Advocating for the pulmonary fibrosis community • Promoting disease awareness • Providing a compassionate environment for patients and their families Please donate and together we can help those living with pulmonary fibrosis and the families of those we have lost. Go to Sridhar Angarai Srinivasan

Sridhar Angarai Srinivasan

Our beloved Dad, Sridhar, was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in June of 2021 from a chest x-ray ordered by his primary care provider when he complained of a dry cough. The diagnosis was shocking since he had no family history and was otherwise very healthy. He quickly established care with a pulmonologist and was started on a trial medication in hopes to halt progression of the scarring in his lungs. At the time of his diagnosis, he was still very active and independent. Within 6 months, he needed portable oxygen upon movement and his O2 requirements continued to increase. He researched so much about this disease and despite the grim prognosis, he was extremely optimistic. He was hopeful that he would be a candidate for a lung transplant and was eagerly awaiting his transplant evaluation in July of 2022. Unfortunately, a few days before his lung transplant evaluation, he had an exacerbation which led to a month long hospitalization. He fought so extremely hard but ultimately suffered complications during his stay that led to his passing on August 16, 2022. We are blessed beyond measure to be our Father’s daughters – he was the best Dad, best Husband to our Mom, and the absolute best Grandpa to our kids. We hope to continue sharing his story to bring more awareness towards this heartbreaking disease. Lung Transplant continues to be the only cure for IPF but for many that’s not an option due to age and underlying comorbidities. It will be our continuous endeavor to support and advocate for this organization that contributes to research and helps educate others in navigating their own PF journey. Please donate in the name of our Dad, Sridhar Angarai Srinivasan, so that a cure and/or treatments to prolong life for sufferers of this terrible disease can be found. Marcia Cummins

In honor of a life well-lived. Beloved and loving wife, mom, grandmother, sister and friend, Marcia passed peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family, on October 5th, 2021. Born in Joliet, Illinois on May 24th, 1952, Marcia lived the majority of her life in the Chicago area before retiring in 2015 and realizing her dream of a life at the beach in Myrtle Beach. Marcia loved her family more than anything, but a close second was a project. Knitting, basket-making, quilting, painting, wallpapering - you name it, she'd dive headfirst into it. We are so lucky to have so many useful things made by her hands that will remain in our lives for years to come. Marcia is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Paul, as well as her sons Ryan and Aaron, her daughter-in-law Abby, grandchildren Hannah and Connor and grandpets Bjügaarhæd (aka Booger) and Sherman.
