Hello, my name is Darrell Salako. I am a high-school graduate of the 2020 class. I think you would agree with me in saying that these are very unfortunate times for most. Life is a bit different with the pandemic ravaging, and some monumental events and experiences have been cancelled or postponed; here, the graduates of 2020. In this mission-I have ALL graduates of 2020 in mind. Whether from high school, undergraduate, or graduate schooling my goal is to celebrate our success; while dually joining with you to benefit our community. I plan to heavily advertise our goal of contributing to the HFB prior to the event, via social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. (if you come across one of the adverts, I'd greatly appreciate your repost!). It's no secret that the automotive community is very alive in Houston. We have thousands of spirited enthusiasts who would love to help out in these arduous times. I hope the Houston Food Bank will be eager to back this event as I can see it having much success. We want the event to be family friendly, for goers of all ages and fashions. I plan to ask for the assistance of the Houston Police Department to provide security at the event, and to ensure that an authoritative presence is observed for those who may act in a way that endangers others. In essence, my plan is to celebrate all classes of 2020 while simultaneously aiding the Houston Food Bank and those who are disadvantaged in these unfortunate times!
