We are hosting a basketball knockout tournament at Yale to raise money for Special Olympics! Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a range of Olympic-type sports for over 5 million children and adults with intellectual disabilities around the world. Special Olympics allows athletes of all abilities to be leaders on their teams, compete for gold, and have fun with their friends. We want to celebrate everyone's participation in sports by supporting Special Olympics' mission of inclusion and acceptance through our own tournament!

We are just two dads looking to better the World a little bit. As streamers we believe we can provide a positive impact on the World around us. We both have a place in our hearts for the Special Olympics and want to help athletes reach their potential. Thank you for helping us out!

Family and friends... as I celebrate turning 40 with you this year, I cannot help but to reflect on the blessings I have been fortunate to receive in my life over the last 40 years! They are countless and I am grateful for each and every single one. One of the blessings that I cherish is my ability to run and compete as athlete! It's an amazing feeling of accomplishment to cross the finish line. Running brings such a great sense of freedom...it allows you to be present and focus on the here and now. Running also brings a sense of community as runners and teammates cheer each other on. I could go on and on about my love of the sport and the endless benefits... :) I'd love to support Special Olympics for my birthday this year so that these special athletes continue to experience the blessing of competing in their chosen sports! The purpose of this fundraiser is to honor our son, Dave Engle, who recently passed away. Dave was always an advocate for the disabled and he often volunteered at Special Olympic Events in Maryland, as a student at Virginia Tech, and as a volunteer in Phoenix. Pictured above is Dave with his cousin Nathan who was a Special Olympics Softball Player in Maryland. Classmates, Here is one of the causes that were listed in Kenny's obituary for donations. I'm hoping you will join me in giving to Kenny's memory from Central's Class of 1974. No amount is too small, it's the thought that counts. Kenny always went above and beyond for the class and gave hours of his time in planning several reunions.
