Special Olympics is a special cause to my heart. I started volunteering with them when I was in high school, and found myself lucky enough to continue that through my sorority in college. Now, in the "real world," I don't have as much time to volunteer in person, so I feel like the least I can do in my first year of not volunteering is to fundraise money. I've seen firsthand the effect that Special Olympics has had on its athletes and I'm honored to be able to fundraise for them! If you're able to donate even a few dollars, or to help spread the word, I'd be forever grateful! Thanks for helping making my birthday special by helping invest in these amazing athletes <3

Hi, my name is Sarah Silver, and I will become a Bat Mitzvah on November 18, 2023. For my Bat Mitzvah project, I have decided to raise money for the Special Olympics. I developed a passion for swimming since I was little and I love watching sports, especially football. I thought it was perfect for me to raise money for the Special Olympics to help support their mission to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them the opportunity to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience the joy of participating in a sport—just as I experience as a member of the JCC Barracudas swim team. To raise money, I will hold a Swim-a-Thon where I will swim 1,800 yards and am asking for a donation of at least 1 cent per yard ($18 total). I hope you will donate to my cause. Thank you!Sarah

Experiencing the joy and inclusion the Special Olympics organization offered my loved one touched my heart. Learning the organizations purpose for changing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities in every corner of the earth is inspiring. I wanted to give back in anyway I could, so I teamed up with other professionals with this same passion. Hear this call to action for raising funds for the Special Olympics. We have many engagement opportunities at ibex, one of the largest is ibex Cares. Every year at each of our sites around the world, we dedicate ourselves to bringing awareness to a specific charity. This year our Pittsburgh, Pa. site, through the leadership of Dir. Jason Vaught, has decided to focus on the Special Olympics. Jason Vaught has a long relationship with Special Olympics stretching back several decades! He has brought his passion working with Special Olympics to ibex and our first fundraiser supported the Polar Plunge 2023! We are excited to continue bringing awareness to such a storied institution and hope to grow our relationship with Special Olympics through the years to come.

Hey Everyone! My name is Sebastian Villalobos and I'm representing The Chi Deuteron chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa at Washington State University as the Character/Philanthropy chair for this Semester. We as a Fraternity Nationally have always been raising money and awareness towards the Special Olympics with Face-to-Face events throughout our beautiful campus. Now because of Covid-19 we are now limited to Online fundraising which is a bummer for getting the Pullman community involved, but me and my brothers of Phi Sigma Kappa are taking initiative and seeking an opportunity from Pandemic to have a larger and more significant outreach. We as a family and community all share a significant experiences, connections and love with special needs kids, adults and athletes who we just want to help in anyway we can so they can have a life full of smiles and support. We as a Chapter are Damn Proud to be supporting this amazing organization who have given many people hopes, dreams and aspirations to feel like a super star.

My brother has been involved with Special Olympics for years and years. He’s my profile photo. 2020 was tough for him as he could only see his friends through a screen and couldn’t be an athlete.
