Thankful for all you sports fans! With your donation, an athlete will be able to break through stereotypes and achieve their own goals on the field. Many athletes are still waiting for that chance but these donations will allow more and more to hop on the field. ANYTHING helps!

The Special Olympics are near and dear to our hearts. Part of the reason I chose to become a Special Education teacher was because of my mom's role in Special Olympics. It is a wonderful organization! I utilized it (free of cost!) when I taught in the US to help my students learn and grow. Here are some pictures from our Special Olympics activities over the past 8 years. My students absolutely loved it! And learned so much about competition, following rules, trying their best, encouraging others, and so much more!

This fundraiser is to provide equal opportunities for students from the Twin Cities area to get off the sidelines and into the game! The goal of this program is to get students engaged in athletics outside of their school day through competition with other cooperating schools. This serves as an opportunity for everyone to be a part of a team if they want to be.

For my birthday this year, I'm asking for a donation to the Special Olympics in lieu of a gift!!! This organization means the world to me. My son, Anders, has nonverbal autism. He is the center of my universe literally; he has played in the Special Olympics games before and it has meant the absolute world to him and to us as his parents for him to be able to participate in something like this. Something quote unquote normal! As you know the normal fun activities for children with special needs like my son can be very limited. The Special Olympics organization makes it possible for these children to experience the joy that they are often deprived of because of their special needs. As a parent this is heartbreaking to watch your child being left out! We all want the best for our children, and we special needs parents are no different! If you would consider donating, it would mean the absolute world to me; a small donation will help this wonderful organization continue to make it possible for children like Anders to be included in these fun activities and games and to experience the childhood joys that all children should be able to experience no matter their special needs! My name is Carli Freedman. My friend Julianna Miller and I are very interested and involved in special education. Julianna is a Special Education major at West Chester University, and I am a Public Health major at West Chester University. Juliana and I have tons of work for special education such as special olympics, variety club camp, which is a camp for kids with disabilities, and top soccer which raises money for kids in need. We are also in Best Buddies at West Chester, which is a club for autism. We would like to raise money to help the kids in need. We will be taking donations from now until May, and in May our event will consist of a party, with food drinks and raffles that all get donated to the Special Olympics.
