Hello everyone! Investing in local communities and encouraging employee volunteerism are core aspects of Otis's ESG strategy. This summer, Otis is empowering interns to contribute social impact via Community Service Week, from June 28th to July 2nd. As a remote intern, I wanted to organize something that the whole team globally could participate in! Otis employees have been big supporters of the Special Olympics in the past, with some serving as coaches in sports such as alpine skiing and snowboarding, which is why I thought this would be a great cause to support. If you have any money to spare, I would greatly appreciate your donation so that we can reach our goal of $100 by July 2nd!
Tell your story here. Why did you choose to raise money for the Special Olympics? As a customer service member of Publix, I decided to help support a very important cause, The Special Olympics. The Special Olympics need funding to provide equal opportunities for people with special needs who want to compete in sports. As a big sports fan I think it’s important that everyone gets to experience and shine in their own sports. It would mean the world to me if you helped me support this important cause and make people lives better!
Hello,We are Christian and Lourdes parents of Alicia Lucía Alicia is about to turn 1 year old. We want to celebrate by helping others just like you all have helped us this whole year in every step of this fantastic journey, and also because we want to save this memory in our hearts and our minds, to show Alicia Lucia in a couple of years how easy and how gratifying is to give instead of receiving.Alicia is a very blessed baby girl and we have no doubt that she will continue receiving blessings every day of her life; to this day we can say for sure that she is not missing anything, not food, shelter, clothes, etc.We dream of teaching Alicia Lucía how to be an inclusive little woman, to see everyone as her equal, and so she can help others to be the same way, that's why we chose Special Olympics to be our fundraising. the best gift you can give Alicia in her first year is to contribute to this fundraiser and be part of this memory that will last forever.Thank you.Amaya Aguilar Family! ¡GRACIAS! Familia Amaya Aguilar!
Hi Everyone! I thought it would be a great idea to do a fundraiser in Barb's honor for her retirement. Due to her fabulous fantasy football season, this seemed like the appropriate charity. You should be able to donate anonymously if you choose. Feel free to share the link with others. Cheers

My education through College was in Special Education so I spent several years being a Special Ed teacher and then volunteering one on one with Special Needs Children. I believe that the “Special Olympics” is a beautiful opportunity for special needs children to feel success and be a part of a team! This is a cause near and dear to my heart.

Twelve years I started as a volunteer coach with UCLA Special Olympics. I’m so grateful for the memories I’ve made throughout the years as a volunteer and being able to meet talented athletes not only in California but other cities I’ve called home in New York and Florida too. For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Special Olympics Florida. I've chosen this nonprofit because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope you'll consider contributing as a way to celebrate with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal. I've included information about Special Olympics Florida below. Special Olympics Florida provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, at no cost to the athlete or their caregiver as a means to achieve physical fitness, self-esteem and the life skills necessary to be productive, respected and contributing members of their communities.
We have many engagement opportunities at ibex, one of the largest is ibex Cares. Every year at each of our sites around the world, we dedicate ourselves to bringing awareness to a specific charity. This year our Pittsburgh, Pa. site, through the leadership of Dir. Jason Vaught, has decided to focus on the Special Olympics. Jason Vaught has a long relationship with Special Olympics stretching back several decades! He has brought his passion working with Special Olympics to ibex and our first fundraiser supported the Polar Plunge 2023! We are excited to continue bringing awareness to such a storied institution and hope to grow our relationship with Special Olympics through the years to come.

Hi, My name is Leah Doucot and I'm a senior in high school. For my senior project I researched the effects of physical activity on children with and without disability, and I was going to host a unified basketball game. But with the unseen circumstances of the new reality I decided to have a series of social media challenges and a fundraiser. If you would like to follow or try some challenges the accounts are below: Instagram - @getup_goactive TikTok - @getup_goactive
I started out with the idea to run the Nationwide Children’s marathon as a way to challenge myself mentally and physically. I quickly realized that my effort and time can be better put to use by donating to a charitable organization. The special olympics provides individuals with intellectual disabilities the ability to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and promote growth of friendship and family. Please join me on my mission and help me reach my goal listed above. I feel that our resources can best be distributed to others and organizations to help those who need it the most. Thank you!
