MARCH TO THE ARCH On Oct 1st last year I started my weight loss journey. I told myself, commit for 6 months to change the rest of your life. So far, I’ve lost 190 lbs and have a goal of losing 200lbs by my one year anniversary. I’ve done this the old fashion way by eating healthy and working out. On Oct 1st, I plan to walk 15 miles from my doorstep to the foot of the arch. Please help me to celebrate my one year anniversary and donate to Special Olympics. This is such a wonderful organization and getting more involved is my next mission. Please sponsor me with a donation to help give these amazing athletes the opportunity to achieve their full potential. I’ve been truly blessed and hope to give back. Thank you in advance for all your support. Let’s Go!!
Hello. My name is Belle. I am a part of special olympics. I play 5 pin bowling, curling, softball, pickleball, and floor hockey. I chose to raise money for special Olympics to help fund my trip to nationals in Calgary 2024 for bowling. I hope you can help me reach my goal in getting to nationals. I won the right to represent midland Ontario.
Instead of making it about me, I decided to create an event that supports inclusion and celebrates the opportunity for teamwork and athletic competition. The Special Olympics has made it possible for millions of people worldwide to express themselves and put their talents on display. Help me raise some funds and awareness for an awesome organization!
Mark Hoem This summer, I participated as a Special Olympics coach for the first time, and it was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. I'm personally committed to running a marathon from now till end of November with the intent to raise money for Northern California Special Olympics with hopes to touch more amazing people in this community through for in-demand supplies and resources to keep the program humming! I expected this to be a feel-good experience for giving back to the community, but it's near impossible to conceptualize the amount of joy this brought to myself, the families, and the coaching community all involved in such a wonderful community. Each Wednesday I found myself looking forward to each session more and more to spend time with the athletes and their families teaching them about athletes, playing as a team, being involved and prideful of our community, and bringing laughs and smiles to one-another. It's contagious, and it's safe to say it's something I'll be volunteering to do for years on end. To me, the Special Olympics is the inflection point of personal growth and human kindness in its purest form. The athletes have taught me invaluable life lessons on strong character (and I'd like to think I taught them a thing or two as well). I was around athletes who in their own right have the potential to become scratch golfers competing on the toughest courses out there. One athlete in particular has had over 13+ brain surgeries in their life, and despite their unique circumstances, they are positive, they are involved, and they are motivated to keep moving forward. They come every week with a no-excuse mindset, smiles on their faces, and ambitious attitudes to be their best selves. Simply put, they are remarkable.
Each year Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. does a donation drive for 3 charities. This year we have chosen to support the Maryland Special Olympics and all the good they do.
This fundraiser is to provide equal opportunities for students from the Twin Cities area to get off the sidelines and into the game! The goal of this program is to get students engaged in athletics outside of their school day through competition with other cooperating schools. This serves as an opportunity for everyone to be a part of a team if they want to be.
Special Olympics is a global organization that serves athletes with intellectual disabilities, working with hundreds of thousands of volunteers and coaches each year. Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continued opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, form healthy lifestyles, achieve success, and experience the joy of sports. Registered athletes are never asked to pay a fee of any kind to participate in Special Olympics. Everything is provided for them including athletic uniforms, awards, sports training, competition facilities, coaches’ education, transportation, and much more. I am fortunate to be working with the Special Olympics organization for over 3 years now as a football and basketball coach. Being a fitness and sports enthusiast, I would like to make a difference within the sports world, especially for the disadvantaged, and Special Olympics is providing me the opportunity to do so. I sincerely thank you for the donations. Your donations will help carry the flame of hope for the participating athletes.Thank you, Aditya
Valencia Bates enjoyed a full 41 years of life before she began her final praise on January 7, 2024. Special Olympics of Cobb County provided many opportunities for her to be free. This fundraiser is in honor of Valencia and is dedicated to all the smiles created by the special work of this program.
This fundraiser is in the memory of William (Bill) Ryan. He loved coaching Special Olympics and made every athlete feel like a champion.

For my Bat Mitzvah project, I decided to raise money for the Special Olympics. When choosing what I wanted my project to be, I knew I wanted to donate to those with special needs. The reason I chose this specific organization is because every Sunday in Fall and Spring, I volunteer at a track program called “Shooting Stars”. Shooting Stars is a program where children with special needs participate in various track related activities. The children are very engaged and always excited to be there. The Special Olympics provides opportunities for people with special needs to participate in sports, just like the opportunity Shooting Stars gives the children to participate in track. If you are interested in contributing to my project, please press the link to donate to the Special Olympics organization.
I have made the considered decision to embark on a fundraising campaign in support of the Special Olympics, driven by a profound personal connection to the cause. My daughter, Blessing, is affected by Ullrich Congenital Muscular Dystrophy and utilizes a wheelchair for mobility. This year, she has expressed her desire to participate in The Special Olympics, igniting within me a resolute commitment to contribute to this remarkable organization. My choice to advocate for the Special Olympics stems from its unparalleled dedication to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment where individuals of all abilities are embraced and celebrated. By supporting this esteemed institution, I am aligning myself with a beacon of inspiration that resonates not only within my immediate community but also reverberates across broader societal spheres, championing the ideals of inclusion and support for individuals with disabilities. The significance of sports transcends mere competition; it serves as a conduit for the promotion of holistic well-being, encompassing both physical and mental dimensions. For individuals facing disabilities, sports represent a transformative avenue through which overall health is cultivated, confidence is nurtured, and a profound sense of belonging is fostered. By extending my support to the Special Olympics, I am investing in initiatives that prioritize the advancement of health, fitness, and overall quality of life for individuals with special needs. With this fundraising endeavor, my overarching aspiration is to contribute towards the realization of dreams not only for Blessing but also for countless other athletes grappling with similar challenges. Every contribution garnered through this initiative serves as a catalyst for providing indispensable resources, specialized training, and invaluable opportunities, propelling individuals towards the fulfillment of their athletic ambitions and beyond. The ethos of the Special Olympics is underpinned by values of compassion, empathy, and an unwavering belief in the boundless potential inherent within every individual with disabilities. Through our collective fundraising endeavors, we are not merely providing financial sustenance; rather, we are imparting a profound message of hope, acceptance, and inclusivity to individuals with special needs, irrespective of geographical or societal boundaries. In essence, my commitment to supporting the Special Olympics transcends the realm of altruism; it embodies a steadfast dedication to championing the inherent dignity and rights of individuals with disabilities, catalyzing positive change and fostering a more equitable and inclusive society for generations to come.

Hi! My name is Katie Orlin and I'm currently a student at Duke University. Throughout my childhood and time before Duke, I spent a lot of time playing sports and investing in my passion for athletics. I was a synchronized ice skater for ten years and competed regionally, nationally, and internationally. I am fortunate enough that I was able to pursue my dreams, and now I want to make sure that every kid also has this opportunity. Now, as an undergraduate student I stay involved with synchronized skating as an assistant coach for a group of young girls in the North Carolina. Additionally, I have taken an interest in running and have now set a goal for myself to run a half marathon. Not only was being an athlete a physical test on my body, but the sport allowed me to develop perseverance, dedication, and hard work that have all contributed to my current success as a student. As I set my sights on achieving another athletic goal of mine, and running a half marathon I would like to contribute to the athletic community of those who are not always given the chance to participate in athletic competition. I will be running my FIRST half marathon on April 4 in Winston Salem, NC, and I kindly request for you to donate to this cause as I run this race. I am running to help every athlete live their dream and participate in the incredible culture of sport.

Family and friends... as I celebrate turning 40 with you this year, I cannot help but to reflect on the blessings I have been fortunate to receive in my life over the last 40 years! They are countless and I am grateful for each and every single one. One of the blessings that I cherish is my ability to run and compete as athlete! It's an amazing feeling of accomplishment to cross the finish line. Running brings such a great sense of freedom...it allows you to be present and focus on the here and now. Running also brings a sense of community as runners and teammates cheer each other on. I could go on and on about my love of the sport and the endless benefits... :) I'd love to support Special Olympics for my birthday this year so that these special athletes continue to experience the blessing of competing in their chosen sports! This charity is special to me because I have a dear friend whose sister participates in Special Olympics. Thank you for considering a donation in celebration of my birthday! Love, Diane

A group of Grand Valley State University students and I are collecting donations to allow all deserving Special Olympics basketball teams to attend the local District 11 tournament. This program will enable athletes to compete in Unified team play. Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities to compete together on the same team. Every year teams are left out due to financial restrictions; thus, members of Special Olympics are missing out on valuable life experiences. Your donation will help fund a team in need to attend the final tournament in future years. If you would like to donate, you can click the link below!
We are trying to promote kindness in our school by having "A Day of Kindness." Students will work on a variety of projects to help local organizations. We would like to hold a fun run (as one of the activities) where students will collect money for running laps and donate the money to Special Olympics.
