Brett and Julie Hart-Schutte

Julie was an employee of LifeQuest for seven years, serving as the Director of Career Connections. Julie stated, “I enjoyed working with the individuals receiving services to find jobs that met their goals. One of my favorite experiences while working there was helping Juletta Peterson start her own shredding business. Juletta was so incredibly proud of Shredding Incorporated! Her legacy is still alive with the shredding work still being completed at Career Connections. I learned so much from the people I worked with.” For the past 19 years, Julie has been employed at Mitchell Technical College, and is currently an instructor for the Human Services program. She enjoys reading, fishing, and traveling. Julie appeared in several productions at the Mitchell Area Community Theatre and is the Past-President of the Mitchell Kiwanis Club. Brett works as an Environmental Scientist for the State of South Dakota. He has been a member of the Davison County Search and Rescue, Mitchell Area Community Theater and coached girls fastpitch softball. Brett’s hobbies include hunting, fishing and spending time with family. Being the only male in a house of women, Brett says he has become accustomed to “doing what I’m told”. Together, Brett and Julie own Golden Penny Kennels and raise Golden Retrievers. They love seeing the joy a new puppy gives to a family. Brett and Julie have been married for 30 years and have three daughters: Kaylynn (24), Jenna (20) and Morgan (17). Dancing For Dreams Home

Marius and Heidi Laursen

Marius and Heidi Laursen agreed to participate in Dancing for Dreams event because they know that LifeQuest is a beneficial organization to our community and state. The event looked like so much fun last year, that they thought it would be good to try and keep the 'trophy' in the Public Safety Building. You see, last year's champions were Lyndon & Jana Overweg. Lyndon was serving Mitchell as the Chief of Public Safety at the time. Marius hopes to keep the tradition alive! (Good luck, Marius!) Marius is the Assistant Chief of Fire & EMS for the City of Mitchell. He has been serving the City for 22 years. Heidi is a Registered Nurse with Sanford Health in Mitchell and has worked for Sanford Internal Medicine for the last 18 years. Their careers have provided opportunities to interact with clients and staff at LifeQuest. Both Marius and Heidi enjoy reading and spending time with family. Heidi loves to bake, especially cheesecakes. She is involved with various activities at Trinity Lutheran Church, including the handbell choir. Marius takes part in all types of endurance sports and exercise and sits on numerous advisory boards and has been a part of several community marketing programs. Laursens have been married for 22 years and have two children: Avery, a freshman at Augustana University, and Grayson, an 8th grader at Mitchell Middle School. Dancing For Dreams Home
