A BELOVED DAUGHTER, SISTER, FRIEND, AND CLASSMATE Alessandra Grace Alexandrou was blessed with a strong sense of self, a commitment to her values, and a deep compassion for others. She touched the hearts of not only her fellow members of the Class of 2013, but numerous faculty and students throughout the school. Ally shared her time and spirit with others through many community service efforts, both as a camp counselor and a volunteer at Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship. Through your contribution to the Ally Alexandrou Memorial Scholarship Fund, you can help other deserving students continue their education at Bishop Lynch, where the virtues of compassion and service Ally held so dear will be reinforced and carried forward.

Angela Mendoza Memorial Scholarship

Catholic education was extremely important to Angela, and this scholarship fund helps provide access to current parochial school families who may not otherwise apply to a Catholic high school due to the higher costs of secondary Catholic education. This fund's purpose will help families bridge the gap between elementary and secondary Catholic school tuition. During Angela’s three plus year battle with cancer she blessed so many with her inspired posts on her CaringBridge site. Her posts have been converted into a book, Dear Friends and Family. It can be purchased here from BL's spirit shop, The Locker. Proceeds from your purchase will go to Angela's scholarship fund. Thank you for continuing Angela’s beautiful legacy and helping future generations of families attend Bishop Lynch.God bless.

Go to Colin Bodensteiner Memorial Scholarship

Colin Bodensteiner Memorial Scholarship

The Colin Bodensteiner Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2006 to honor and celebrate the life of a young man who died all too soon. The goal of the fund is to lend a helping hand to students who share the same qualities that Colin demonstrated during his lifetime: a humble team player who cared about others; a responsible student free from disciplinary issues; a student active in athletics, extracurricular and community affairs. The hope and vision of the Scholarship Committee and the Bishop Lynch community is that the recipients of this honor, as well as those who apply, take the message of Colin's life to heart. "The day after Colin’s accident happened, we had friends and family wanting to send us flowers or money. Meg and I talked about it and decided that we wanted to use that money and establish a scholarship fund at Bishop Lynch in Colin’s name. A fund that Colin, his brothers, family and friends would be proud of. One that could impact the lives of students’ needing a little help to enable them to achieve their goals and attend a wonderful school; a school and environment that Colin loved. We talked to Ed Leyden, the school President and he thought it was a great idea. So the Colin Bodensteiner Memorial Scholarship Fund was born. Because of the generosity of many, the Colin Bodensteiner Fund has raised over $700,000. Seventy-five scholarships have been awarded to Bishop Lynch students in that time and several others have received financial aid through the funds interview/application process. With your continued support, we will grow the fund’s balance which will enable us to financially assist more students who want to continue their education at Bishop Lynch. Those students selected go through a written application, interview and selection process conducted by Colin’s Fund Committee members each spring. Applicants must be returning BL students and are given the opportunity to apply based on their financial need. Selected students must be in good standing and be well-rounded in academics, conduct and extracurricular activities. Thank you for your continued support." COLIN’S GOLF CLASSICThe Colin’s Golf Classic is an annual event used to raise money for the Colin Bodensteiner Fund. The more money we have in our principal balance, the more interest we can generate and thus, help financially assist more students. Our goal is to have the capacity to support all those in need so no one leaves Bishop Lynch because of financial reasons. My wife and I are deeply committed to the success, character and growth of this Scholarship in the name of our beloved Colin. We thank you for your interest and support in playing in the Annual Colin’s Golf Classic. We are humbled and thank you for your continued support. Tom and Meg Bodensteiner
