If you want to join a team that’s in it to win it, you're in the right place! We're led by Team Co-Captains Reggie and Oswald who show no mercy toward competition and will win by any means necessary. Don't let their sweet photos and videos fool you, Reggie and Oswald are notorious for playing dirty and once we win, will never let the losing teams forget it. Why support team Yesahcan, you ask? Because our motto here is "Yes I Can!" and with your support we know we can go for the gold. "Yes I Can" to help raise funds for the over eighty residents that call Yesahcan Sanctuary home. "Yes I Can" to support nourishment, emergency and routine medical care, and enrichment for the Yesahcan residents. "Yes I Can" to build 30 foot statues of Reggie and Oswald posing with the gold medals. (Ok, I'm not actually building the statues, but Reggie and Oswald are only in it for the fame so don't tell them.) Who should join team Yesahcan? If you can say yes at least one qualification below you are ready to join the team! :) Want to be on the winning team. You won’t embarrass Reggie or Oswald. They’ll hold a grudge. You normally watch TikTok videos of cats in boxes. You are an Olympian. (You’re probably not but just checking.) You exercise anyway, might as well do it to raise funds for animals! You have a pulse. Yes, we’ll take anyone despite what Reggie and Oswald say! Let’s be real – how often can you team up with two ruthless goats leading the team to win a gold medal and spread the word to help animals. We need your help to make this happen. After all, there’s no 'I' in Yesahcan Sanctuary. (Though there is one in "Reggie", and he is knows it.) We hope you join us for the Goat Games 2022. Let’s do this - Yes, we can! About Team Captains Oswald and Reggie Oswald and Reggie were found roaming a neighboring county when picked up by animal services as strays in early 2020. Thankfully, they were spared from the common practice of auctioning off stray farmed animals that so commonly takes place in Florida and found sanctuary at Yesahcan. It is rare to ever find Reggie and Oswald too far from each other. They are both full of energy and are always ready for friendly competitions. Reggie and Oswald are looking forward to leading the Yesahcan crew in the Goat Games! About Yesahcan Sanctuary Yesahcan Sanctuary is an all woman, all volunteer operated non-profit organization that offers refuge and life-long homes to farm animals in need. Go to Emmy (Emunah)

Hey everyone, I'm Emunah, but everyone calls me Emmy! I came to Indraloka last fall, so this is my first time getting to take part in the Goat Games. Even though I'm an alpaca, Captain Franklin says that everyone at Indraloka can get involved in the Goat Games. I live with another alpaca named Sandy- you might already know her! I also live with a herd of sheep and one elderly goat named Mira. She was Indraloka's Goat Games team captain last year, so she's been giving me pointers on how to take home the gold this year. Since I'm getting on in years myself, I wanted to get involved as a Goat Games athlete, but do something more leisurely and at my own pace. After much thought, I decided my Goat Games activity will be... SUNBATHING! It's my favorite thing to do, aside from grazing under the trees with Sandy and enjoying the delicious produce that the humans bring us!Will you join me in the Goat Games this year and help me reach my goal? I plan to sunbathe for 2 hours every day until the end of the Goat Games. That's 40 hours of fun in the sun! Will you sponsor one of those hours for $10? That will help me reach my goal of $400. Help Team Indraloka take home the gold! Join as an athlete who raises money OR you can carry the torch as a donor. Either way, YOU are a champion for the animals! Be sure to spread the word to your friends, family and co-workers so they can get in on the fun! Everything you need to know about The Goat Games can be found here in the FAQs. From t-shirts, to hoodies, tank tops, long-sleeves, football jerseys and more! Choose your color and get your team shirt today. Thank you for joining Team Indraloka! The sanctuary provides "heaven on earth" for farm animals that have nowhere else to turn. Our mission is to inform, inspire and empower the community, especially children, on ways in which we can better care for ourselves and the environment while helping animals in need. We advocate for a kind and compassionate lifestyle that protects animals, the earth, and our own health. By participating in the Goat Games you are helping not only the hundreds of rescued farm animals and all who love and care for them, but the thousands of humans who visit them every year! Through our innovative education programs, humans of all ages have the chance to embrace compassion and fall in love with animals like Franklin, our 2022 Goat Games Captain. Franklin was found alone on a busy highway on New Year's Eve. When he was brought to Indraloka, his complete terror of humans kept him on high alert. He wouldn't even lay down to sleep and shook with fright whenever anyone was close. He was weak, fighting pneumonia and a double eye infection that was so severe, it temporarily blinded him. But after just days in the care of our staff, surrounded by love and gentle hands, Franklin's fear lessened and then disappeared completely. Now, he spends his days with 2 new friends, Oreo and Oliver, running in the pastures and playing with no cares at all. His mischievous personality keeps us all on our toes but he loves hugs and snuggles from visitors. By joining Team Indraloka, you have the opportunity to help goats like Franklin and his many friends of all species. Here’s how it works: Register as an athlete for Team Indraloka and commit to run, walk, hike, bike, swim, or do an activity of your choice, anytime between Friday, August 12 through Monday, August 15, 2022. Share your support with friends and family to raise funds for Indraloka. Donate to Indraloka! You can make a general donation to our Goat Games page or find an athlete to support. Either way, you’re making a difference for Franklin and his friends. However you choose to support the Goat Games, please know that your generosity is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your commitment to the animals!

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Goat Games hosted by Catskill Animal Sanctuary and sponsored in part by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS). The Goat Games 2022 is YOUR chance to help rescued farmed animals across the country— by hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking, binge-watching Netflix, dancing or any activity of your choice– right where you live, work and play! In 2020, Catskill Animal Sanctuary created The Goat Games as a response to their urgent fundraising needs during COVID — and to give folks a taste of fun and athleticism in the wake of the canceled Olympics. The following year, they selected sanctuaries across the country to participate and the Games grew to a total of 10 teams, raising thousands of dollars to help save animals! This year, Catskill Animal Sanctuary is partnering with THIRTEEN other GFAS-certified farmed animal sanctuaries from coast to coast to increase awareness of all our life-saving work— and to have FUN! Simply pick a sanctuary, register as an athlete for their team, carry out your chosen activity, and ask your friends and family to donate to support you. Every dollar raised will go to saving lives and providing sanctuary for animals in need. It’s up to all of us to carry the torch and get the GOLD for farmed animals. Are you game? Everything you need to know about participating as an athlete on your favorite sanctuary’s team, or supporting a sanctuary as a donor, is right here in these FAQs. Read the FAQs About the Sanctuary: Catskill Animal Sanctuary is a 150-acre refuge in New York’s Hudson Valley for 11 species of farmed animals rescued from cruelty, neglect and other dire circumstances. In addition to emergency rescue, the Sanctuary ignites social change to end the exploitation of farmed animals, and champions vegan living through innovative educational programs.

Team Wildwood is in it to win it! We’re counting on you to help us bring home the gold at the third annual Goat Games! Join as an athlete who raises money OR you can carry the torch as a donor. Either way, YOU are a champion for the animals! From t-shirts, to hoodies, tank tops, long-sleeves, football jerseys and more! Choose your color and get your team shirt today. A race to save our sanctuary! This year's Goat Games is hugely important to Wildwood! We have to move from our current location and need funding to purchase or lease a new property. If we're able to secure a new home for our beloved animals, we'll consider that the biggest win of all. If we can't, your support will help us move our animals safely to new sanctuaries where they'll continue to be loved and cared for. Either way, we're counting on you to help us get through this enormous challenge! Now, onto the fun... Our 2022 team captain, Orin, is both an athlete and an inspiring leader. At 14 years of age, he's definitely the senior team captain of our goat herd here at Wildwood. He keeps everyone in line! He has the sweetest personality and is still very agile! He is taking his new job very seriously and demanding excellence from the team – no ifs, ands or buts about it. Well, maybe a few butts. Most of the animals at Wildwood had a pretty rough start in life. Many were rescued from factory farms, terrible abuse and neglect. Now, surrounded by love and good friends, they are free to be their sweet, sensitive, silly selves. Nothing makes the humans here happier than to see them engage in shenanigans and hijinks. About Wildwood Farm Sanctuary & Preserve Wildwood Farm Sanctuary & Preserve is an accredited, 501c3 farm animal sanctuary currently located in Newberg, Oregon. Since 2012, we have provided a safe haven for abused and abandoned farmed animals. We are looking for a new property to continue our mission of promoting compassion and inspiring change.

Led by Team Captain Ponty, help Team Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge and take home the gold! Join as an athlete who raises money OR you can carry the torch as a donor. Either way, YOU are a champion for the animals! Be sure to spread the word to your friends, family and co-workers so they can get in on the fun! Everything you need to know about The Goat Games can be found here in the FAQs. We’re all in this together as a team! You can help encourage others by printing our team bib, posting on social media with the #TheGoatGames2022, and showing all the fun and creative ways that you’re going for the gold! Ponty came to us after being abandoned and trying to survive in a mobile home in rural North Carolina that was collapsing around him. Even though he is one of our tallest goats, he came to us over 40 pounds underweight, starving and scared with little trust for humans. Today, he is thriving at the Refuge -- he is the largest goat in his herd and is a favorite among Tour guests. The Refuge provides lifelong care to rescued farm animals, educates people about the realities of animal agriculture, and promotes veganism by offering knowledge, support, and community. Founded in 2012, the Refuge has been providing lifelong homes for rescued farm animals for 10 years and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in central North Carolina. We are thrilled to participate in the 2022 Goat Games as we are currently raising funds for general use in support of our recent expansion and future animal rescues! At the beginning of 2021, we were presented with the exciting opportunity to purchase an adjacent lot that has more than doubled our size, from 20 to 45 acres! We have various projects planned for this new land, such as building a perimeter fence, removing and/or restoring the existing structures on the property and making the area suitable for rescued farmed animals. These funds will be vital to beginning these projects and ultimately, completing these goals. Ponty was severely malnourished and lived in a dilapidated shack in the woods before he was rescued. Your donations will also help support food and medical care for current and future animal residents, including new cow rescues! We currently spend over $6000/month on food and veterinary expenses alone for our chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, sheep and goats, so these contributions will also go a long way in helping us continue to provide lifelong homes for animals in need. Thank you so much for your contribution. Your support of our life-saving mission is vital. We are so grateful to have you with us on this journey to make the world a more loving and compassionate place for all beings! "Ponty's Journey"by Shannon Ducrest, Lead Animal Caregiver In an old trailer, Back in the woods, Ponty the goat did stay. Scared and alone, His tummy did groan, Hungrier every day. Until a nice man learned of his plight And took quick action to make things right You need a place with friends, safety, and food I know; Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge! About Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge provides lifelong care to rescued farm animals, educates people about the realities of animal agriculture, and promotes veganism by offering knowledge, support, and community. Founded in 2012, Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in North Carolina just 15 minutes away from the downtowns of Carrboro, Saxapahaw, and Pittsboro and 20 minutes away from downtown Chapel Hill. Our vision is to live in a world where the need for farmed animal rescue, education about the factory farm industry, and promotion of a vegan lifestyle are no longer necessary because the world is vegan and the exploitation of animals for consumption has ended.

I'll be posting updates on my Instagram @salemwildescapades Help Team Alaqua take home the gold! Join as an athlete who raises money OR you can carry the torch as a donor. Either way, YOU are a champion for the animals! Be sure to spread the word to your friends, family and co-workers so they can get in on the fun! You can help encourage others by printing our team bib, posting on social media with the #TheGoatGames2022, and showing all the fun and creative ways that you’re going for the gold! Alaqua is so excited to participate in this year’s Goat Games! Meet our Team Captain Hermione—our resident sanctuary goat—affectionately called "Squish" by everyone that meets her! She was surrendered to us with facial deformities that were most likely a birth defect. She has the sweetest personality and mannerisms. We just can’t get enough of her! She loves dressing up, getting her picture made, being an Alaqua ambassador at our public events, and meeting new friends. A staff, volunteer, and visitor favorite, Hermione is most deserving to be our 2022 Goat Games Team Captain! Please join our team and help Hermione and Alaqua take home the Goat Games Gold! For the love of animals, we thank you—Ready, set, go!!! About Alaqua Animal Refuge We believe that every abused, neglected, and homeless animal deserves a second chance…at life, hope, happiness, and most of all, love. As the Southeast’s premier 501(c)3 no-kill animal shelter and sanctuary, we are committed to providing protection, shelter, and care to all types of animals in need. We have been described as being an incomparable haven on earth for rescued animals—from farm animals like goats and horses, to dogs and cats, to birds, pigs, and ducks. We even have a resident water buffalo and two emus! We socialize, love, and care for these animals as if they were our own. We have placed tens of thousands of animals into loving homes and environments and helped countless others through our partnerships and community outreach programs. We are currently in the midst of relocating and building a one-of-a-kind facility—the first in the United States—on 100 acres (an expansion from 10 acres). Our new facility and sanctuary will allow us to continue to do the important work of animal rescue and rehabilitation, as well as be an educational and training center for animal welfare advocates as a place that will inspire, empower, and educate others to make change in our society and recreate our model worldwide. From July 31 to August 22 I will be attempting to complete the Camino de Santiago’s Del Norte route across northern Spain over 18 days. I will be pushing for 30 miles or more a day. My fundraising goal mirrors the total number of miles I expect to do over then entire journey! For every dollar donated I will do a mile and every donation will come with a message from me somewhere along the way. So during August 12th-15th please consider donating to an animal sanctuary near and dear to my heart. And remember, we’re all friends here. Meet IFS Team Captain Pickle! Pickle is an itty bitty goat with a gigantic spirit who came to IFS with rear limb paresis when she was just a few days old -- she was small enough to be mistaken for a kitten! Since welcoming Pickle in January 2021, she has made incredible progress. You'd never even know she had mobility difficulties when she was a baby! She overcame all odds and now has full use of all of her legs. Nowadays, Pickle is a happy, curious, and energetic little soul. She always has important business to attend to. If she pauses to give you a few moments of her time, you’re very fortunate—baby girl has stuff to do and places to be! She’s the most perfect Pickle in the world. IFS is Iowa's original vegan sanctuary for farmed animals. We're strategically located in the epicenter of modern animal agriculture, helping farmed animals where it is needed the most! Pickle and all of her rescued friends-- like Buddy, Annie, Fawn, and Angel are touching hearts near and far, inspiring people all around the world to act with compassion. This year is our first year participating in the Goat Games and we are ready to take home the GOLD! Our goal is to raise $25,000!!! As a sanctuary that is located in the heart of modern animal agriculture, we receive inquiries daily about farm animals in desperate need of rescue--many with special care needs like Pickle. All funds raised will help us carry out our mission of rescuing farm animals in need, as well as making sure that our current residents are living the dream! Join the dream team and swim, run, walk or bike! Pickle is READY to parkour her way to victory! About Iowa Farm Sanctuary At Iowa Farm Sanctuary, we provide a safe haven to rescued farm animals in need of love and compassion while providing humans the opportunity to experience the unique sentience and intelligence found within these animals.

Indraloka Animal Sanctuary

I am SOOOOO excited that I was chosen to represent Indraloka Animal Sanctuary as the Goat Games team captain this year! What an honor! Everyone at Indraloka has been so nice to me since I was found on the side of a busy highway one chilly morning. The humans told me I was found on a day called "New Year's Eve" and that the next day would be a brand new year! They mentioned something about it being a new beginning for me, and boy were they right! I was real, real scared when I came to this new big place, but not anymore! Now, I am the fearless team captain of Indraloka, and my best friends, Oreo and Oliver, have been coaching me every step of the way! My favorite thing to do is play games with them all day long. We run, jump, head butt each other, and play on this awesome slide the humans gave us! Sometimes (okay, really ALL THE TIME!) we like to play tricks on the humans. They never get mad at us, though! They just laugh and tell us how silly we are. I'm doing all kinds of activities for the Goat Games, and I wanna raise $500 for Team Indraloka as a thank you for all they've done for me. I need your help though! Will you join my team and help me meet my goal? It would really mean a whole lot to me to give back to everyone who has given me so much! Can I count on you to join my team?

Thankfully, these precious boys will never know the hardship their mother endured before finding a second chance at happiness. They’ve known only kindness, love, and fun! Sully’s family lives with mama goat Autumn (rescued along with Sadie) and her twin baby boys Reece and Augie in a spacious field with lots of room to play and graze. Sully’s boundless energy and thirst for adventure make him the perfect team captain and those spectacular ears are going to fly Team CAS to victory and the GOLD! For the past 21 years, Catskill Animal Sanctuary has been a refuge for thousands of rescued animals Will YOU join Sully and his friends and help them raise $100,000 to take care of rescued animals for years to come?

While we may not have any goats currently living at Heartwood, Team Captain Ruby would argue that the pigs are the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All-Time). The jury is still out, but we're encouraging Ruby to reach for the stars in these Olym-pigs! Ruby arrived at Heartwood Haven unable to walk, but with a lot of love, care, and the power of sanctuary Ruby is not only walking, but she is the swimming queen and the greatest Piggygator of all time! About Heartwood Haven Heartwood Haven is located in a farm-like setting in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We are on a mission to end animal cruelty against farmed animals. We primarily work with local animal control to rescue animals from cruelty and abuse cases. These animals are typically former cock-fighting roosters and pigs. Through our successful adoption program, we save hundreds of animals every year. In addition to our rescue work, we also fight for a more compassionate world through our education and advocacy programs. Your generosity and support allow us to continue fighting for the most vulnerable among us.

Meet Team Captain Toby! Toby’s wavy locks and sweet personality charm everyone who meets him. He and his companion Frosty moved to the sanctuary when their person passed away in the Fall of 2021. Unlike a lot of our residents, Toby has only ever known love. Unfortunately, so many that find their way to our door have suffered unimaginable abuse and neglect. For more than 25 years, River's Wish has been saving lives through rescue, education and advocacy. By treating animals as individuals and expressing both their wonder and plight through art, we foster empathy and understanding that leads to compassionate life choices. With Goat Games, we are raising money for our future, right alongside Captain Toby and all his friends at River's Wish. Will YOU go for the gold as we strive to raise $20,000 for the care and feeding of our residents? As a sanctuary serving the Inland Northwest for more than 25 years, we are home to a large senior population who require special care and interventions. Your generosity goes a long way to providing the love and comfort all our residents deserve.
