When and Where: Sunday, February 12 at City ParkRace start at 10:00 AM About the Dash:Youth. Community. City Lax.Denver City Lax is a nonprofit growing the game of lacrosse in underserved neighborhoods utilizing lacrosse as a platform to assist at-risk youth in finding success on the field and in the classroom. To kick-off the spring lacrosse season the lacrosse community has rallied together the past seven years to support Denver City Lax in providing all programming, including equipment, to kids at no cost. That’s why the Dash is so important! I will be coaching the 3rd-grade boys team this year. This will be my 6th year coaching with City Lax, and my 2nd year with this group. We got off to a great start last year and I can't wait to continue to work with this team and watch them grow. Lacrosse is the entry point to City Lax's youth development program. Elementary and middle school boys and girls join teams to play a competitive schedule while also focusing on personal and educational development. City Lax kids earn opportunities to attend leadership camps, receive academic assistance, take college visits, challenge themselves through outdoor adventure experiences and grow through a variety of other enrichment activities and individual mentoring. Teams and schools throughout Colorado have been gracious in their support, and in a few short years driven the Dash to becoming one of the leading, if not most successful, youth and high school based fundraising events in the state. There are benefits for everyone involved. The Dash gives all individuals the opportunity to challenge themselves through training and running, and all teams the opportunity to take part in a group bonding activity to begin the competitive season. But participating in the Dash is also the chance to make a difference in the community and change lives. Kids that would not have access to the sport are given the opportunity by Denver City Lax to be part of a team, learn a new activity and grow as individuals. Be part of making great stories happen!

My name is Sutton Damiano and I have played lacrosse since 2nd grade. I am so grateful for the opportunity to raise money for the sport that has given me so many incredible life memories. Through this love for lacrosse, I have been given the chance to coach young girls learn this amazing sport and help them develop a love for the game. I don't know where I would be without lacrosse and I believe that everyone should have the option to play this sport as well. Please consider donating to help me and so many others spread the love for the game of lacrosse. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Youth.
