Dear Friends, This spring, I will be participating in the Swim A Mile / Move A Mile for Women with Cancer, and I hope you'll make a contribution in support of my participation! This year I will Move a Mile by Hiking/walking a mile, or just jumping up and down on the same spot on a boat that will be taking me up the Columbia River. Jan and I will be joining family and friends on a boat excursion that happens during the swim a mile event. Maybe we will jump in the river and swim after the boat ?!?. We will see. Nonetheless, we will participate on this fantastic event that will help us raise funds for the organization. Please help me make this happen. Hi Everyone! This is a fun event for a good cause, which is the Women's Cancer Resource Center (WCRC). If you haven't heard about the WCRC, here is the gist of why I really appreciate their existence and their services: The WCRC helps individuals with cancer improve their quality of life through education, supportive services, and practical assistance. They help individuals from various backgrounds and cultures navigate through the often-overwhelming health care system to get the appropriate care and treatment they need. WCRC's mission is to improve equitable access to cancer information, support and care. All of their programs and services are free. And fundraisers like this are what make it possible for them to continue offering their services for free. Please help me keep the WCRC sustainable and their services always available for people who need their support. Also, if you're interested in swimming with me, I signed up for the 1pm slot on Sunday, May 7th. You can make a donation on this page, or send a check with my name in the memo to: Women's Cancer Resource Center, 2908 Ellsworth St, Berkeley, CA 94705 Thanks in advance for your donation - your generosity will directly support more than 2,000 people over the next year! xo-Bridget
