Hello Dear Ones, Fourteen years ago, I participated in my very first Swim A Mile. But that wasn’t the first time I WENT to the Swim. In 2007, I accompanied my sweetheart, Tamara, who was swimming her mile to raise money for the Women’s Cancer Resource Center. I was her cheerleader. She was the first person who told me about, introduced me to, and was a role model for me --- to join as a swimmer myself, three years later in October 2010. Since then, we've been there, together, every year. This year, I’m swimming in Tamara's honor. She was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer in October 2022. She finished radiation in January, and is adjusting to life on Arimidex, to reduce the chance of re-occurrence. She’s doing well as she continues to live life after a cancer diagnosis. While I wish there was no need for anyone to Swim A Mile – I’m grateful to be able to participate again this year, with Tamara. It truly is an honor. I hope you’ll support me in my Swim this year.
