When you register for the Walk, you directly give Durham animals the second chance they deserve - to live the lives they have always imagined!It takes on average $300 to care for an animal during their stay with the APS of Durham. This includes life-saving vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, preventative medical care, food, and love. In addition to a robust pet adoption program, we facilitate low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for owned pets, host a Pet Pantry for people needing temporary support, and attend to medical emergencies for injured stray pets.
