The top 14U baseball players in the country all come together in fundraising competitions with proceeds to benefit children bravely battling illness through Barbara's Friends at Golisano Children's Hospital and efforts to grow the games of baseball and softball in underserved and at-risk communities across America through the Perfect Game Cares Foundation’s Grow the Game Fund.

The Barbara's Friends Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Outpatient Center at Golisano Children's Hospital has treated more than 10,000 children with cancer and blood disorders. These young patients and their families face many challenges physically, emotionally and financially. More than half of the children treated for cancer at Golisano Children's Hospital are uninsured, on Medicaid or have no form of payment. Through Barbara's Friends and the more than $20 million given by supporters, families are able to focus on helping their kids and no child is denied treatment because of their family's inability to pay for services.

Meet this year's MVPs, Jaxson Warren and Mackenzie Hummer! Watch their videos above to hear their story.

Jaxson is 11 and was diagnosed with B Cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in August 2020 and finished his chemotherapy on December 9, 2020. His love of sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, is what got him through cancer. Jaxson took his first steps on the baseball field at his older brother's games and can't wait to get back to playing ball.

Mackenzie loves sports and is so excited to be one of the 14U Select Festival's MVPs. Before her diagnosis, Mackenzie was a healthy, energetic third grader. But when she started experiencing frequent bouts of nausea, her doctor suggested an MRI to check her brain. The scan showed an aggressive, cancerous brain tumor, called a medulloblastoma, that threatened to take Mackenzie’s young life. Over 12 years, Mackenzie had 30 radiation treatments, 10 months of chemotherapy, 30 surgeries, and spent endless days and nights in the hospital. Mackenzie is cancer-free, but has a lot of cancer related side effects and health issues due to the harsh treatments for her brain cancer. You can read Mackenzie's whole story here.
