Walk for Sight is a family-friendly walk that raises money to provide glasses to students in need, provide professional memberships to school nurses, fund teacher mini grants, support the Excellence in Wellness Award and the P.E./Health teachers within the district.

Students, teachers, and campuses are encouraged to engage in peer-to-peer fundraising to be able to raise money for the 18th annual Walk For Sight co-sponsored through a partnership between the Pasadena Lions Club and Pasadena ISD P.E./Health and Wellness and now the Pasadena ISD Education Foundation.

    History of Walk for Sight

Walk for Sight Started in 2003 with a collaboration between the Pasadena Lions Club and Pasadena ISD PE, Health and Wellness.

In 2020, the Pasadena ISD Education Foundation was asked to help make this year’s event virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year, Walk for Sight will be very different, but the goals remain the same.

Walk for Sight usually attracts nearly 2,000 participants from dozens of Pasadena schools, and the event has raised anywhere from $20,000 to $30,000 annually.
