The Amazing Bronx River Flotilla - May 6, 2023!
What is the Flotilla?
Our Annual Amazing Bronx River Flotilla is a fundraising event that helps kick-off our paddling season. We bring out over one hundred people to canoe 4-miles of the river and raise critical funds to keep our river accessible to over 1,000 Bronx children and families. We also sponsor a community festival at the end location at River House in Starlight Park, with music, dance and lots of fun activities!
How does it work? A designated captain will form a team of 6 people (in 3 canoes) to paddle 4-miles down the Bronx River. Everyone will need to pay a $50 registration fee and commit to fundraising $350, for a total of $400 per person or $2,400 per team.
Paddlers need to register in advance, so we can keep track of who is coming. Your team captain will create the team and reach out to our Development Coordinator, Mailah Medina at [email protected] to share their names.
Individual spots are also available, please contact Mailah Medina to help you find a team.
