New Orleans
Hello Friends and Family!
I have been given an amazing opportunity to return to NOLA for Mid-Winter Break supporting a well deserving community with Shirts Across America! On this trip we are given the unique opportunity to emerge ourselves in the rich and beautiful culture of New Orleans and the people who call it home. We work with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and YRNO to build homes in areas of NOLA that have been devastated by Hurricane Katrina back in 2005 and more recently by Hurricane Ida that hit the Gulf Coast region in Aug/Sep 2021. Ida was a Cat. 4 hurricane that brought winds that reached over 150 mph and damages costing over $65.25 billion dollars.
I have been challenged to raise $250 this year and appreciative any contributions! The money we raise will go to helping rebuild New Orleans with SAA. Shirts Across America is a non-profit organization that has been helping New Orleans since 2006. If it is at all possible, please support the work of so many amazing students who will work to rebuild homes in New Orleans, LA.
