CCF Champions
As many of you are aware, my beautiful and talented wife, Jill passed away after a long and courageous battle against cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) in October 2018. Cholangiocarcinoma is a rare cancer that occurs in the liver within the bile ducts. Approximately 10,000 Americans are diagnosed annually, and the diagnosis rate continues to rise. Currently, there is no known cure. Existing treatment protocols include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and surgery.
To honor Jill's memory and support CCF's research efforts, we will be hiking to the summit of Mount Monroe. The fourth highest peak in New Hampshire’s beautiful White Mountains. This year will be the 5th Annual Hike for Jill and our 4th new mountain to hike. It is my goal to hike all 10 of the highest peaks in New Hampshire in honor of Jill, and this year we are nearly halfway to that goal.
Here are ways that you can help:
- Donate! Any amount is helpful in funding crucial research, advocacy, and education efforts.
- Share this page and Jill's story! Many people have never even heard of Cholangiocarcinoma, and awareness is such an important step in finding a cure.
- Visit the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation website at https://cholangiocarcinoma.org/ to learn more about the disease and other ways you can get involved.
Thank you for your generous support. See you on the mountain!
