CCF Champions
Dear Friends and Family,
We are very grateful for all of the support and love given to Talia and our family since she was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma in January 2022. This year Talia is being featured as a cancer survivor story with Manhattan Beach's Tour de Pier fundraising event (see the video below). Over the past ten years, this event has raised millions of dollars for three organizations that are working to combat cancer: Uncle Kory Foundation for Brain Cancer, Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Research, and the Cancer Support Community South Bay.
On Saturday, May 13th, from 12pm - 3pm at the 900 Club, we will be hosting a get-together and uniform pick-up to thank all of you for supporting Team Talia. There will be lunch, drinks, live music, and other festivities. We are also hosting this event to thank the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation for its incredible support of Talia and our family in this battle against cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer.) This organization has been there with cutting-edge current information, doctor referrals, compassion, and emotional support in every way possible. While Tour de Pier does not provide direct support to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, we continue to raise money and awareness to express our appreciation for the Foundation’s services. If you choose to join us with your support, we are filled with gratitude.
Thank you ~ The Frederick Family
About the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation:
The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation’s (CCF) mission is to find a cure and improve the quality of life for those affected by cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). Cholangiocarcinoma is a rare cancer that occurs in the liver within the bile ducts. Approximately 10,000 Americans are diagnosed annually, and the diagnosis rate continues to rise. CCF is the leading global resource for cholangiocarcinoma research, education, support, and awareness and is the only US organization dedicated solely to meeting the needs of this community. The Foundation’s work is made possible through generous donations from caring individuals like you, who share our dedication to finding a cure for cholangiocarcinoma.
You can help be a partner in the fight to find a cure for this rare cancer!
Here are ways that you can help:
- Donate! Any amount is helpful in funding crucial research, advocacy, and education efforts.
