ChangeMakers Pittsburgh 2022
I am deeply honored to have been selected to serve alongside the inaugural class of Multiplying Good's Pittsburgh ChangeMakers!
As a member of the Fall '22 Class of Pittsburgh ChangeMakers, I'll be working to raise funds and awareness for Multiplying Good's flagship service-learning and youth leadership program called Students In Action (SIA). Students in this program gain personal and professional skills while creating a sustainable and responsible service project for a community they care about - their neighborhood, their school, or their classroom. One local example involves middle school students at Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship who researched a need for academic support over the summer and partnered with their local bank to distribute over 20,000 learning kits to their community!
Students In Action is a free program focused on serving under-resourced school districts - over 55 percent of the high school students who participate in SIA in Southwestern PA come from poverty circumstances. The estimated cost per student for SIA is $250, so my goal is to guarantee resources for at least 10 students by raising $2,500 from now until December 8th, 2022.
