Capital Camps & Retreat Center

Capital Camps, in accordance with American Camp Association best practices, does not permit tipping. Instead, we provide our staff with specialized training, robust mentorship and career-building programs, and an extensive array of staff appreciation activities. In a typical summer, Capital Camps brings outside experts to train the staff in mental health support, child abuse detection, first aid, open-water lifeguarding, and more. These are enriching experiences for the staff that ultimately benefit our children. They are gaining confidence and leadership skills, and are building Jewish community together. In addition to directly impacting the staff experience, an investment in the counselors of Capital Camps creates a vibrant, safe, fun Jewish community for children to flourish.
