Warren County Fire Services is hosting a car show and public safety event benefitting Children's of Mississippi.
Event organizers Robert and Cassandra Whitten chose to dedicate 100% of event proceeds and donations to Children's of Mississippi because they have a special connection to the state's only Children's hospital -- their son Jeremiah is a patient! Jeremiah was born with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH).
CDH is a birth defect that involves the diaphragm not fully developing which causes organ migration and underdeveloped lungs. This leads to breathing difficulties.
Jeremiah will always have an underdeveloped lung on his left side, but he will live a normal life after the care given at Children’s of Mississippi! Children’s of Mississippi is the only facility in Mississippi that specializes in CDH treatment.
Robert is an Assistant Chief of a Volunteer Fire Department in Warren County, and he has gathered the county fire service's support for the car show. You can support their efforts by making a tax-deductible donation to support patients like Jeremiah who rely on the life-saving care from Children's of Mississippi.
