As an alumnus of the College that places the “A” in FAMU, you probably remember the friends, professors, and advisors that helped you along the way; as well as the activities you were exposed to and those that you wished were available to you. Here is an opportunity to pay it forward in honor of those who helped you and at the same time helped current students to have even more options that may or may not have been available to you. Please join other FAMU supporters in giving back to the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences on this Day of Giving.
In the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences (CAFS), we are a family within the FAMUly. We desire to provide our students with the academic enrichment, extracurricular enhancements, and support services that aid in their growth as young adults while giving them the ability to focus on what is essential, get good grades and graduate on time. Through support and commitment to CAFS, we can all make a big difference in the lives and experiences of our current students.
We need your financial gift to our Academic Support Fund to provide the programming, sponsored events, conference attendances, and a host of other services that will enhance the quality of our students’ academic life.
We are thankful for any amount that you can give. We can exceed our modest goal of $5,000 if 100 of you donate $50. However, we want to raise much more to do more for our students, and with your financial support, we can do it.
We appreciate your consideration, and we hope to make this a successful “1887 Strikes” Day of Giving! We Can Do It, and You Can Help!
Success Story - We have used funding in the past to enhance the student experience in CAFS by sending students to MANRRS and ASABE conferences, paying for food at on-campus events, and prizes for our research competition. We want to continue this great work.
The Florida A&M University (FAMU) Foundation is a living organization which is vital to the progress of the University. The Foundation functions through its Board of Directors, institutional constituents, and community donors. Due to the devout contributions of donors who consistently support quality programs that strengthen and broaden the University's academic appeal, Florida A&M University continues to be recognized as one of the leading institutions in Florida.
As a non-profit organization, the Florida A&M University Foundation, Inc. was established with the specific mandate to serve as a custodian of contributions from the private sector, alumni, friends, and industry. The Foundation receives, invests, and administers funds. In addition, the Foundation acts as a trustee and exercises in general the powers of a not-for-profit organization under the laws of Florida.
On behalf of the University, the FAMU Foundation, Inc. would like to express to our many supporters, alumni, faculty, staff, students, corporate partners, and friends, that we greatly appreciate your commitment to serve FAMU that has been shown through your consistent efforts to promote the academic programs at this institution.
