University of Arkansas - Fort Smith
Empowering a creative tomorrow, by bringing community to design.
The Student Group for Design, a registered student organization, allows students to be involved with like-minded individuals and designers on campus and off, create a community, and build career skills. At meetings, students participate in portfolio workshops, networking events, client work, and community service.
Funds will enrich future designers with trips to design-centric museums and businesses. Funds also will give back to the community by helping local nonprofits and small businesses get the marketing and branding materials they need to gain outreach.
AIGA UAFS has helped me create a network of friends and professionals to help foster a community of designers. – Carlee Davis, senior student member of AIGA UAFS Student Group for Design
